Resolution: After trying every support mechanism on this forum, with Google wifi and stadia, as well as some helpful redditor suggestions, Google sent me a CCU replacement. The replacement works as well as my previous one used to. I did test my old CCU the same day I hooked up the new one. It lagged on the old CCU, and worked great on the new CCU. I have no idea what specifically the root cause it. I also added an ethernet switch as some suggested (I needed one anyway). It did not have an immediate impact either way. Set up is now Netgear Modem->Google Nest Router->Linksys Switch->CCU. Hoping to get some help from the community. I have spent around 12 hours trying to troubleshoot this. The Stadia lag and connection is so bad, Destiny 2 has become essentially unplayable. I purchased my Stadia Pro Bundle back in March 2020. I have been playing on a 4k LG CX using the CCU both with a direct ethernet connection and wifi. Up until about 7 days ago, I have enjoyed a very smooth and positive Stadia experience getting awesome gameplay with 4k resolution. I now can barely play any content, and specifically seems the worst with Destiny 2. I have made zero changes to my hardware, and unaware of any external changes to network settings. I have little knowledge outside of basic troubleshooting. Setup: Xfinity ISP 200+ Down/5 Up, Netgear CM1100 Modem, Google Nest Wifi Router, LG CX TV, Chromecast Ultra (firmware 1.50.230474), Cat.5e cables. CCU is currently wired from ethernet port on nest wifi router. U.S. based in a major city (CONUS) Settings when playing: Game Mode on, all LG TV AI features turned off, video smoothness off on CCU settings. My connection in Stadia shown poor to excellent, and still getting terrible lag whether I try 4k, or 1080P/720P when it says my network can't support 4k. Troubleshooting to date: --Called Xfinity to ensure no connectivity issues --Worked with google support for my hub and netgear support for modem --have done a full factory reset of CCU, Netgear Modem, and Google hub per tech support guidance (multiple times now). Spent about 90 min with google doing some minor trouble shooting in regards to network settings ----When I last reset my CCU I set it up only for wired network connection per a recommendation from another thread. No luck. --tested internet speed on both wifi/wired connections on multiple devices. Able to stream 4K Dolby Vision content (Final 30 min of Avenger's Endgame) from wired connection from google nest direct to LG TV I spent about 2 hrs last night reading through reddit and community posts here. It's clear I am not the only one experiencing issues like this. As I said above, I have been playing with this same setup since August, and it was awesome. I didn't do anything special initially. I just plugged everything in, and that was it. I'm kind of at my wits end here, but I am willing to continue to troubleshoot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
