I Have noticed some noticeable stuttering during the borderlands 3 free trial period, which made me opt out of purchasing the game. If those games under the list you mentioned have similar issues, I really cannot invest money in something that is not performing as it should. Seems less of an end user problem and more of lack of optimizing going on either on the publishers end or Google's.
It is noticeably choppy and an eyesore because of it. This is very disappointing. Thankfully the trial was able to show these issues before making the purchase.

I think it's a good amount of time for someone to decide whether they enjoy it or not but I still think there could be improvements. Not all games are created equal and some games really start off slow before things get more interesting. It would be nice for the storefronts to adjust the time frame based off how the game plays out. A game of pacman can easily be assessed in a shorter time period than something like Assassin's creed Odyssey.

Depends on which servers you connect to. Typically with your vpn you would want to select the closest location to you so the servers don't need to send back data with extended latency. I've been playing with a vpn on for a while and have experienced little to no issues.
