So I sit down tonight to play some PUBG, and here is what happened, step by step.   1. I turned on my monitor, and saw the CCU home screen. 2. I held the Stadia button down on the controller to start Stadia. The controller was sync'd and Stadia began to boot up. 3. While Stadia was starting up, my foot hit the surge protector unplugging the CCU, and the CCU lost power. 4. I held the Stadia button down on the controller to turn the controller off. 5. I plugged the CCU back into to the surge protector to power the CCU back up, and waited for the CCU to boot to the home screen. 6. I held the Stadia button down on the controller to start Stadia. Nothing happened. No lights, No Vibration... nothing at all. 7. Thinking that the Battery could be dead in the Controller, I plugged the controller into it's charging block. Again, No lights, No vibration... nothing at all. 8. Lastly, I plugged the Stadia controller in a Windows 10 Laptop and the Controller fails to power up there as well.   Did my controller somehow get bricked when the CCU lost power? How can this happen?
It barely works with Stadia, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hi there, thank you for your response.   By any chance, do you have other USB headset that you can try on? Just want to make sure if it's the issue with the controller or the headset itself. I do not have another usb headset to try with the Stadia Controller. As stated in my initial post, the headset works fine on my laptop running Linux via USB, and it works via a USB-C adapter on my Pixel XL. However, I do not play Stadia on these devices. I only play via Chromecast Ultra with a Stadia Controller.   Also, have you made sure that the sound output is set to the controller? I assume that it is, because sound works via the 3.5mm audio jack with some old headphones, as stated in my initial post. Where do I find this setting? Is it in the Chromecast Ultra settings? Stadia Settings?   Is there someone from Stadia that can be tagged to chime in on this?

I have a USB headset that I am trying to use on the the Stadia Controller with a usb-c adapter. I get no sound, but the Stadia Controller will power up the headset. The volume is turned up on the Headset, Stadia, and Chromecast Ultra. The headset functions properly via USB on my Laptop running Linux. The headset functions properly via a USB-C adapter on a Pixel XL running Android 10 The sound works fine via the 3.5 audio jack on the Stadia Controller and an old scrubby pair of headphones. Please advise.
