Still an issue as of 4/1/21, can't save Player Career
Yes, thank you both, I must have been blinded by my lack of desire to read.

https://youtu.be/mQc3Lm7ZDJw It's not even second hand info from IGN.  Some truth but wrong also.

Nice post.  My counter question, why slow burn cash instead of ripping off the bandaid quickly?  There's no guarantee any single game will be well accepted by the community. The closure doesn't bother me; I feel it removes any potential conflict of interest in getting third-party games to come to the platform. I also expect to see the "pet project games" come out through third-party licensing.  Developers will inevitably come up with games that would work better with Stadia's few unique features. The focus should be on bringing as many new, quality games and features to the platform which will naturally encourage members to join.  On the development side they can instead support those who want to work with them to bring new content and partner with those companies for that development. I expect Stadia to still invest in exclusives, and this has been consistently shown with special versions of games for the platform.

They closed the offer early due to high demand,  which was in their exclusions *while supplies last*.  I received my Stadia controller and Chromecast Ultra through the Cyberpunk promotion.  I made the suggestion to others at the time but they had similarly waited too long and the offer closed out.  Ultimately Stadia missed out on some more subscribers, overlooking the long-term opportunity to capture recurring content purchases in lieu of short-term loss on their controller and Chromecast sales. I'm hopeful they will partner with an upcoming release and do a similar drop.  There has been at least one discounted promotion since then.

I agree and disagree. Disagree that the platform is dead.  That's a simple expression without evidence. I disagree that users will be fortunate to get two big games [though I'm pretty sure you're exaggerating to drive your point].  Stadia has already come out with several top end games recently - Hitman 3, Immortals FR, & Cyberpunk - with releases expected for Outriders, Far Cry 6, most likely any future Ubisoft releases (c'mon R6 Parasite), and hopefully EA & 2K sports releases.  They've also released a couple exclusive titles after the demise of their in-house studio. I do agree that Stadia has missed and will miss some upcoming non-exclusive games - COD Cold War, Back 4 Blood, RE Village, probably 100 indie titles, etc. I also agree that requests for older game ports seem to fall on deaf ears.  As much as existing games coming over would be nice content, they're not worth Google investing money into the developer to bring an old game when they'd be better off investing in rights to a new game. New games bring new players.  New players make developers port old games to Stadia.  Old games make existing gamers happy. Final Fantasy XIV would be a great content addition, and the size of the game should make the developer see the benefit in porting it over.

1. Start your game on the CCU as you would normally 2. Go to stadia.com within chrome and go to the live streaming section and you can just start a stream.. the WebUI knows you are in-game and auto-fills the title. That's it, no trying to launch the game in chrome and switch screens or anything, just launch on the CCU and go to chrome and start the stream. I think you can do the same on mobile phone by visiting the website in desktop view.
Exclusive game with exclusive features, and it's included with Pro subscription!  Awesome news and highlight!..  still will see the troll train come through.

I don't care about the specifics and capabilities, but I do care about the generation of game that we are provided once it's made available.  Many of the newest games are coming with extra features between the console versions which stretch beyond the adaptive controller.  For an example check this link:  https://www.operationsports.com/nba-2k21-next-gen-review-setting-the-standard-on-a-new-console-once-again/ I just want the most recent version of these games and the hardware to be capable of supporting it.  If the developer adjusts framerates and resolution, then I assume it's in the best interest of the game play.
Nice post. Content creators drive gamers to the platform.

Nice variety of games!  A little something for everyone!  Of course a AAA title would be nice, but I would prefer to have the next game than the last game.  Appreciate the consistent improvement, I've amassed a library of over 50 games since Jan 1 with Pro and a few purchased on discount, so I really think it's great.

Far from a network engineer, but I know there's a few devices, multiple software layers, and opportunity for packet loss outside your home network which could affect your play, including your ISP and the ISP where the Stadia server lies.  I'm sure you've seen similar issues on console or PC multiplayer (frozen lobbies, party connection issues, system reboots, etc).

I've really enjoyed Steamworld Quest, Risk of Rain 2 and Figment - games I otherwise had skipped. I would also recommended Celeste to any platform gamer.  It's such an easy yet challenging playthrough. Another good one is Hotline Miami, a violence-infused, fast-paced and gritty top down brawler/shooter that I would recommend.
