@unrav3l : Most monitors have a ‘native’ resolution. Any other resolution that is not the native one is about as random as it gets if it is usable or not. It isn't the fault of Stadia that it doesn't look usable in 1080 on your hardware as your native resolution isn’t yet supported. I on the other hand have a native 1080 resolution monitor and Stadia looks just fine for what I am accustomed to. Unfortunately I don’t see any other options available where the output will look great for you if your monitor doesn't do a particularly good job when it comes to mimicking 1080 resolution on 2440 hardware.

I’m more than happy to have the controllers. I never liked the PS controllers very much, XBox One controllers are fine, but the Microsoft versions actually feel a bit more clunky than the Stadia controllers. But that is my opinion and everyone has their own preferences it is a very personal choice as to which controller someone prefers or doesn’t. Same when it comes to a mouse or a keyboard or a joystick or rudder pedals etc. But I’m happy enough with the new Stadia controllers.

@dastaten : Contact both Google and FedEx. They have procedures in place for this situation. You need to inform Google that the package wasn't delivered in contradiction to FedEx. You need to contact FedEx in order to get them to check their records as the package should be a signed delivery (at least that is the process in the UK with DHL). Google will then instruct you as to the process to follow.

Only option is to wait until more resolutions become available. Currently this is one of the limitations that were made known just prior to release of Stadia.

Additionally, if you want to configure the controllers via Bluestack you will also need to have a Bluetooth controller available (as the initial setup of the controllers is performed via Bluetooth until WiFi is configured on them). You need to setup a suitable location within Bluestack because location services are used by the Stadia app as well. Of course if you are setting up Chromecast too, then you will also need to install the Google Home app as well.

@Solano Seen a few instances of this now. Most likely incorrect flags have been set in Chrome. Navigate to the URL chrome://flags/ then check that both the following are set to Enabled Hardware-accelerated video decode Hardware-accelerated video encode If that doesn't address the issue, just click the Reset all to default button, restart Chrome and you should be in good order. This appears to resolve the issue of very jerky stuttering mouse movement.

Also once 4K/HDR/5.1 etc is released, it will require a Stadia Pro subscription to be active as these are features associated with the Pro subscription only.

Early functionality that is not yet complete. I would expect to see this feature and more to be released in 2020. You can use something like DU Recorder (iPhone app) to record video from a phone/tablet and then edit/save/publish it afterwards, there are numerous similar apps for IOS and Android so go with whichever suits you best. That is about the only option until such time that the functionality gets updated in due course.

@Adamkynaston : No additional functionality is available yet to perform these types of functions. Most likely these types of features will be available in 2020 once new features get released. The only work-around that you have would be to install some screen capture software along the lines of DU Recorder or something like that which can capture video on your phone screen and then edit/save/publish etc. Not ideal, but about the only option available currently. It doesn't help logging into Stadia via Chrome from a PC either as screenshots and clips are not displayed there yet (although you can take screenshots and generate clips, they can still only be displayed via the Stadia app not via Chrome).

Interestingly the feedback that I get from Google Stadia support is well...lacking to say the least. I quote: "We don´t have control for any purchases inside the game. It´s best to contact the game publisher for this. We have a refund policy for any purchases in Stadia app. But if the purchases is in the game itself, I am afraid it is beyond our support." How quickly Google seem to have forgotten their $19million fine from the FTC in 2014 : https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/2014/09/google-refund-consumers-least-19-million-settle-ftc-complaint-it So if your kids accidentally rack up some crazy expenses on your credit card without authorization/permission, Google won't help as it's not their problem.

@Ivan No, only need the phone for setup or to purchase games. After that, just hitting the power button on the controller is sufficient to launch into Stadia, no messing about with phone, unless I wish to look at screen captures. Similar case for running on Chrome, once you have gone through setup via Stadia app, there is no need to use the phone app when playing via a PC for example. If the kids use my account on their PC's to access Stadia then once again in-game purchases become available to anyone who wants them....
