I have planty of space.. I even added a small fan.. It's just getiing too hot.. no real heat management..
The CCU really should overheat in the first place!
It is just ridiculous that we need to glue heatsinks on the CCU! Very bad design! Google just hurting itselfe, as I have to suspend my Stadia subscription now! The devil is in the details, but... See more...

Either some units are faulty or the CCU just can't handle very well. In Italy now the summer started. I have no air conditioning at home and during the day now we reach just 32° Celsisu by now.... See more...

I have plenty of space behind my TV bit the CCU shuts off after a few minuties of playing in the evening with lower temperatures! It just needs a better heat managment. It's ridiculous that I have to glue heatsinks on it to make it work!
As temeratures are rising these days in Italy, mine is definitely overheating! Can't play anymore! It's already very hot while ide.. Yes, Ethernet is the way to go for low latency.. I'm was luck... See more...

I'm was lucky and could place a flat ethernet cable under the rug from the router to TV! Google needs to admit and adress the overheating issue! Such a pity.. the CCU just needs a better heat managment.. probably would cost a few cents more in production..

A month ago my Chromecast Ultra started to lose connection while playing for a few minutes. I checked network connection with the router and all is well (Ethernet connectivity). It loses connection to the web and is extremely hot to touch! It is already very hot while just beeing connected to the powersource and TV. I live in Italy and now temperatures are rising. Summer is here! I Tried to position a small a fan nearby. When very close it helps a but the situation is not nice. I will have to suspend Stadia subription as I cannot really play anymore.. Maybe in autum/winter again. Only workaround seems to be to glue Raspberry Pi heatsinks on the Chromecast. Front and back! Best if cutting out a hole in the plastic.. It's just ridiculous! Please adress this issue Google!!!

considering my low amount of movement and sport during this covid-lockdown-smartworking-year.. and now even winter, I would like to see fitness games to play alone or with family. maybe even with new controllers like the Nintendo ring! also smartphones could become some kind of controller with just an app!
I start to think about buying a small USB fan.. especially for the summer!
