For me personally this was the last time I paid for any Google service.  You have disappointed me one too many times by closing services that failed because you didn't put in the time and effort necessary to make them a successful product (like cancelling your game studios before Stadia even had a chance to take off etc. pp.).

It would be really nice if you could make sure that the games you are selling to us are, you know, actually working.  RoR2 is broken for a month now.

Just tried to play some RoR2 (I don't have the expansion yet), ran into the same issue as you guys.  Game loads fine into Main Menu but when you try to actually go into Single Player or Eclipse you get a black screen with a (working) in-game mouse cursor.  When you actually wait ~4 minutes the game finally loads. WTF. This took like 3 seconds before. When you try to go back to the main menu: black screen again.  Clearly bugged. Is noone testing these things before releasing them? This is a single hardware platform, the usual compatibility excuses don't fly.

I have the same problem in ESO once I press ESC for 2 secs so I can use another tab ... coming back to the Stadia tab I can click the back to game button with the mouse and after that it's "your mouse is currently not captured by the game" until I close the tab and relaunch ESO. That's a pretty annoying bug.

Can't really help you much but Stadia does work perfectly on Linux, at least on my Linux Mint 19.3 + Chrome.  Definitely no hardware acceleration present, my old i7-4770R does not even support VP9 decode in hardware. But still: perfect 1080p60 picture and barely perceptible input lag.

Hey guys/gals,   I had huge issues with my Stadia controller not linking wirelessly to PC Chrome at all, neither on my desktop nor on my Chromebook. The solution was this:   I am using uBlock+uMatrix (like all of you should :-p) and there is some sort of hidden domain that needs to be allowed for uMatrix so that wireless pairing works. The uMatrix rule is: stadia.google.com cloudcast-gmsg-prod.googleapis.com * allow   This took me quite a while to figure out because uMatrix did not show "cloudcast-gmsg-prod.googleapis.com" as a 3rd party domain most of the time, even when I tried to do the pairing. Once it showed up I allowed the domain and now pairing works flawlessly all the time.   Hope that helps someone
Pick a 1080p60 video from YouTube - can you watch these in fullscreen without problems? rightclick > stats for nerds, make sure it's really 1080p60 and using VP9
As far as I remember from the WebRTC/Stadia tech video from Google, Stadia is based on the VP9 codec (and targetting AV1 in the future).   Edit: Source: https://youtu.be/avtlQeaxd_I?t=1072
Chrome already uses VP9 with Stadia, you can see for yourself on chrome://media-internals  It's also the standard on YouTube for quite some time now.
It has to be something that you installed system-wide for all users then, maybe a personal firewall, antivirus or the like.
Excellent = 4K. You will only see this on the CCU.  Also it's not surprising that 1080p looks blurry when upscaled to a 1440p display. On a FHD display the 1080p60 stream looks quite nice.
If you want this to change you'll have to complain on the Bungie forums.  That being said I find it quite sad that there is no text chat, too.

I think the Ubuntu standard install fetches the Chrome Snap package. You do not want that one.  I'm running Chrome stable installed via website on Linux Mint 19.3, no issues with input lag.
How did you install Chrome on Ubuntu? Did you install it by going to https://www.google.com/chrome/ ?

The "Aw, Snap!" message suggests that this is an issue with your Chrome browser and not with Stadia. This is most likely caused by an extension, a corrupted browser profile or some interference from your OS. Try this: -create a new user on your OS -install Chrome (and nothing else) but do NOT log into your Google account with your browser -go to the Stadia website and log in (not the browser Google account, just Stadia)

In theory 50mbit is enough for 2x 1080p60 but only if there are no further slowdowns, e.g. because your router's CPU cannot keep up or the walls in your home are blocking WiFi reception just a little bit too much.  You should both be able to play with the stream quality set to 720p60  (lowest).
50 mbit is not enough for 2 players @4K and just barely enough for 2 players @1080p.
Well, it's not a general Linux problem - it runs fine for a lot of people, including me on Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon + Chrome 79 stable.
I agree, it's super annoying. Furthermore these pics are NOT reloaded from cache if you come back more than ~30 minutes later.
