I love this idea, have sent feedback with something similar. Google is a very data-oriented and -driven company so I know they have these types of stats aggregating somewhere, just a matter of letting us see it and putting things in a visual format. Send feedback via the Stadia app or stadia.com to let them know your ideas.

Heh, maybe I should copy this post as a boilerplate message. Watch this space: https://families.google.com/families Stadia is at the bottom, so we know it's coming. I'm definitely one of those like you looking for more updates on this. As others on this forum have wondered, my guess is the delay is with software publishers and getting the deals ironed out for how much gets shared between family members, concurrent play sessions, etc. I'd expect you to be able to share a Pro subscription as well, so what does that look like for subscriber costs? (Probably  higher) With most of Google's subscription services there is an increase of monthly cost for sharing streaming content like music or live TV with family members, I have to imagine the game publishers are in on this discussion. Trust me, I'm not defending Google here with any sort of delay but trying to understand why we're still waiting (with their content sharing and family account systems already in place). We certainly need to hold their hand to the fire and let them know we're looking for it though, so I'm with you there.

I feel the separation should exist for these two control experiences, mimicking how it works now. Controller/Chromecast for console experience, M&K/PC for PC experience. Given how the two control options tend to change the experience/advantage for one vs. the other I think Stadia should keep them separate as it is now. Having said that, nothing stopping those enterprising individuals from connecting a PC to their TV.

This may not help, but I have the same device (Pixel 3XL) and tried this yesterday. On first connection, the phone didn't recognize the controller. Using the same cable, I unplugged it from the controller and tried again, really jamming the connector in. It's a tight fit on the controller, and on the second try the phone recognized it and I was off.

I agree with @AndroiFy to contact Stadia support and see if they can offer any good troubleshooting. Could be a janky Chromecast, I wonder if you notice any other streaming issues to that device? (YouTube, e.g.)

We had a power outage recently while I was right in the middle of a Destiny 2 session on the TV. Our Internet and Wi-Fi are currently backed up by UPS (thanks, global pandemic and work-from-home orders), so I turned on my Pixelbook, fired up Stadia on it, and my session was right there to continue as we waited for repairs. When the power came back, I did the opposite and was back on the TV. Too cool! Also, @Tito patience. Pretty sure that's coming.

This is probably what you're looking for. Not released yet, somewhere along the line Google believed those that insist on remotes for TV devices. Personally I prefer the Chromecast method of control where I use another device (or voice using their Assistant), since it gives me much more control overall instead of only what's on screen. Oh well.

Octopath Traveler! I suggested this game months ago, they actually listen! I don't have a Switch or other console so I'm really looking forward to this one. Will wait for a sale since my backlog is currently overloaded and we get more games on Friday with Pro that I won't have time to play yet, plus with current sales I picked up two more games. Oy! This system is more than enough for my meager gaming needs.

Not all devices will work on 5Ghz but if they can and are in the same room (for example) you would get a faster overall connection.
Here's a potential answer to this confusion that the Stadia team could enable: https://chromeunboxed.com/chrome-os-chromebooks-pwa-google-play-store-install/?amp

Running Stadia on a Pixelbook in tablet mode still results in a broken portrait view. I've sent feedback on this but it's still an ongoing issue that seems could take a simple fix to force the page when loaded to be landscape only. Unless I don't understand how web development works... Ultimately it's a pretty minor thing but as Chrome tablets start to become more prevalent (instead of Android tabs) this will get noticed more.

This is a minor thing (and I know I've sent feedback on it) but the Stadia store on Chrome still only takes credit/debit cards for purchases? I buy all my games with Google Play credit to limit my spending, but this requires all purchasing be done for Stadia games from the Android app in my case. Have others here had the same experience?

I agree, but Stadia is listed under your Family library here: https://families.google.com/families It even has YouTube TV listed there (I don't subscribe to that) so it makes me think that sharing on Stadia will function like that, Google Play content, etc. Again, not sure this stuff is rolled out yet but they seem to be making steps towards it. The support article also mentions Stadia Pro and implies that those games on your account (I would imagine the parent account with Pro) would be claimable from the child accounts, hopefully with the appropriate content levels applicable.

I went looking in their help section for a step by step and found this monster: https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9575790?hl=en&ref_topic=9495322 In typical Google fashion, not very much of this is clear cut but it seems if you already have Family Library set up via Google Play and family members, sharing, etc. then other family members just need to start making Stadia accounts. I will be working on this over the weekend with my wife's account (normal Google account that should be able to access all my Stadia games) and two child accounts (that will need to request access based on content levels, gonna see how much of a kludge this is). From the support article, it sure sounds like this is going to be set up the way we (well, at least I did) expected but it remains to be see how well it all works.
