It is a narrative that Google does need to work to get ahead of. I've been with Stadia from the beginning and many of Google's projects even longer, you need a bit of a rough skin and realistic expectations for the most part. All the doom and gloom isn't anything new; the truth is that Stadia's tech works and works really well, that is not going to get "shut down" after all of their research and development to make it work so well. The business side of things is certainly the larger question mark but when they put public information out there that states "investing in Stadia's future" and that gets twisted into "the writing's on the wall" well...this is what they need to work on.

With three to four games being claimable for Pro subscribers each month, the unwieldiness of our game collections grows exponentially (especially on Chromecast). I've regularly asked for a better sorting option or at least a way to "pin" a game that is synced across your devices so it always shows up at the front of the pack.
Back when this was first enabled (circa Nov 2020) the best advice was to set up your family group from scratch, then enable the sharing again. That seemed to solve the issue for some.
Yeah, this isn't a founders-specific issue so this thread should probably be moved to the general forum. It sounds like the devs are working on a fix.
I've just sent feedback through both apps, have not filed any formal bug reports. Dunno even where to do something like that...?

This is Best Response on the Forum. Put this on the front page!

The TV UI is in need of an overhaul though. Horizontal scrolling through dozens of games gets tedious. I'm hoping the launch of an app for Android/Google TV puts a much better interface front and center on the biggest screen in the house. The web UI is a good start.
Pretty much ditto here for me, though with kids I still don't get to play as often as some. Still enjoy what I can and constantly look forward to more.
Doesn't mean this isn't a bug, but I notice when I have headphones plugged into the Stadia controller and playing on Chromecast I get the audio icon in place of the settings gear.

I don't think this is limited to a particular USB-C headset, as I often experience what you're describing if I use my Pixel wired headset connected to the Stadia controller when playing on CCU. In fact it occasionally affects the game stream to where it also visually pixelates, stutters, and delays my controller input too. Since they added USB-C headset compatibility to the controllers, I've noticed the quality has improved but it still exhibits this behavior often enough to be noticed. I typically send feedback from the app when I can and these kinds of things happen, also trying to exit the game from the Stadia menu to try to encourage the onscreen playback survey when there's an issue.

Playing Stadia on Chrome has always been much more finicky for me as this original post describes. Just last evening, it took Stadia three tries to load my gaming session via Pixelbook. Same network environment as two CCU's that connect much more reliably (even one that is pretty far from the same router I would be connected to with the Pixelbook). I always leave feedback when this happens so hopefully they can continue to improve the experience on Chrome.
When my redemption code for this comes in, someone in here is welcome to it. I already got a PE from the recent YT promotion and really don't need another.
Cheers, Stadia! Love the system and immediate access to games, here's to Year 2. And 3. And 4. And...
Thanks, free stuff is cool but...I already got one of these with the recent YT promotion, so I won't keep another Premiere Edition. Another Stadian can have my redemption code.

This could very well be the issue. I was seeing the same access token problem when we set up my daughter's account via Chromebook, but it just went away over time. It's very possible in between that we had added her Stadia account to the Chromecast (had to do this with the app, only way it currently works) so this is a potential solution.
You need to add their Stadia account to the Chromecast. So far as I've found, the only way to do this is with the Stadia app which means your kids' accounts will need to be logged in.

This sounds correct to me. So long as you only cancel the Pro subscription for your daughter, she will retain her Stadia account and continue to have access to any games you've shared via your family group. I'm in the same boat somewhat, in that in order for me to even create a Stadia account for my (over 13) daughter she had to sign up for a Pro subscription trial (using the family payment method which requires approval which took me 45 minutes of fuddling to figure out). We plan to cancel this before the 3 months are up as it doesn't make sense for her to have a Pro subscription since my account does and I can simply share the game(s) with her.
This thread title sounds like a great song title.
