Google did give members another free game - Samurai Shodown. It might not be what most users would have wanted but it is another free game. They cannot give more than that, because of cost. Stadia might carry the Google brand, but as an internal business unit, it does have budget constraints within which operations must stay. On Xbox, Samurai Shodown sells for $60, we will assume that's how much it would sell for on Stadia. Let say there were 20,000 Stadia Founders Edition units sold worldwide. Lastly, we will assume that Google's take for the Stadia game store is 20% per unit sold. Google not only lost $240,000 ((20000*60)*0.20) in revenue, but it had to also pay another $960,000 ((60 - (60*0.20))*20000) to the Samurai Shodown plublisher. The numbers for Destiny 2 are either the same or higher, because of the DLCs. In addition, Stadia the platform (service), is not getting a whole lot as a cut from the sales of the Stadia the hardware. These costs are going to add up fast if they keep giving free games away. And when the business unit's budget is spent because of this type of cost, then Stadia will fail. There will be posts about users asking for their money back not for free games.
