Here is another trick I found when having issues connecting to the Stadia remote. Connect your Chromecast Ultras ethernet connection on the power supply to a router. The minute this happens, it connects to the remote with no issues. Good luck.
First off, what type of phone, make and model, carrier sounds like att or t-mobile, and 5Ge is still really 4g lte. Here is an article describing the differences. https://www.lifewire.com/5ge-vs-5g-5... See more...

Glad to hear that it worked! Game on and enjoy!

Next, select the game that you want to play then select the option (where to play), select the Chromecast and then, hard resetting your Stadia remote by powering it down. Then, hold the S button and the Y button for about 5 to 6 seconds but, you have to release the S button as soon as it powers on holding only the Y button. Pair the remote through the app on the right side and see if that helps.  If that doesn't work, go to your Google home app and disconnect the casting on your phone. It will disconnect the Stadia remote and attempt to link it again. Hopr this helps.

Issues like this I've seen it to happen to me but look at the previous posts and try to follow the steps of rebooting your router, disabling any security apps on the router and try again.

If you have the dns of Google, try finding the location access on your Google account and see if it syncs with your phone. Just curious if your location is not being detected by Google when its using the Stadia. I think it uses it but not sure.

You are welcome and it sounds like you are being blocked and maybe because you may not have the right DNS addresses from your router to your devices. If you can, copy the information of your router when it automatically receives it from your ISP (internet service provider) to Google servers. I believe the ips are 8.8.8.8. Try adding that dns entry to your router and also, if there is any DDOS service running aggressively on your router. Finally, try turning off your firewall on the router and attempt to connect the stadia to the router. If it connects, look at the connected devices and try to see if there is an option that allows you to set it as a preferred device or connection.    Hope this helps. It seems like that is a European router?
What router are you using? Name, model, version number  revision number of the operating system on the router.
Hmm, try using a computer and go to stadia.google.com and pair the controller there. Try and play the game for a bit then disconnect. Also, try hard resetting the chromecast as well.
Hola, tienes que ir a la pagina  stadia.google.com. Despues, tienes que buscar el remoto a la mano derecha ariba. Despues dale el codigo que le pides.

Not sure if this is still an on going issue but it just happened to me. I was able to troubleshoot the same issue and I found that if you are using a Ubiquiti (Unifi) USG and AP, in the settings of the management, if you have the Threat management enabled, disable it and try to sync the controller again. Upon disabling it, I was able to connect the controller. After it was connected, I enabled the threat management and no issues for now.   Hope that it helps anyone. Take care.
