@Maaseru that's exactly what I can't work out - this is precisely how not to handle an IT incident. Every incident management 101 course could use this as a case study and ask the class to point out where the company went wrong. It's such basic stuff. That's what makes it all the more infuriating, for me. They are clearly hiding a major mistake. Lying about it to fill dead air is the very worst thing they could have done.
@NRE I've been reliably informed that all codes will be sent out within 3-5 years of the Stadia service being shut down.
@CrimsonRockin it's just cruelty at this point. It's really hard to overstate how badly they've handled this whole thing.
107 years. That's how long the Titanic was synonymous with disastrous debut voyages. I think we have a new contender for that role.

I got an email from Google! it was to tell me that I have received my Stadia Founders package, which I am aware of as it has been on my sofa for 4 hours.  What I don't have is an invite code, so I can now add "trolling founders by giving them brief false hope" to the list of things Google has done wrong in the last 2 days.
Is this topic only for the 13 people who've received their invite code? Asking for a founder.
It's extraordinary. They could not be handling this worse. Silence after a straight day of lying.
Just another update. Received kit three hours ago. Still no code. Purchased June 11th, shipped November 18th, arrived November 20th 13:30 GMT. No code as of 16:50 GMT

The communication has been utterly dreadful. They are running through the list of things you absolutely must not do in customer relations. Just happily ticking them off, one by one. I struggle to understand the comms approach. Even a tiny company would have taken advice on how to launch a product or at least read a book on the subject. The way Google has handled this momentous omnishambles is just extraordinary. Is transparency such an alien concept to Google that they won't even consider it here?
You're just rubbing it in now. I have a very pretty brick.
Exactly this
Now officially a member of the got kit / no code club. Wonderful.
Controller delivered within the next 44 minutes according to DHL, still no code. Ordered June 11th.
That phrase you keep using, "a small fraction"... I don't think it means what you think it means.
