Google is making the refunds to the original payment methods that you have used back then to make the purchase. If that was a card that is expired now, the bank may still have gotten the money anyway, so best to check first with them. Be aware though that from the day you got the info that the refund has been done, it may take 3-5 days usually for the amount to appear in your bank.
Google is also still working on the refunds, so I'd say, give them a bit more time and check with your bank in the meantime if they received the refund.
