Hey @syn25, You can check with your bank in this case. If the refund went through successfully even though your payment method is inactive/expired now (refund can still take up 3-5 days, sometimes even longer), then the bank may have received the money. In case the refund is not successful, you would get an email from Google to ask you to provide an alternate payment method. There's no other way to request from Google to make the refund to another card, because it's normal that they first attempt to refund you on the original payment method for the purchase. Q: I no longer have the form of payment I used to make the purchase. How will I get a refund? A: In many cases, the banking institution will still accept the refund, and we recommend that you reach out to them to receive your funds. If the banking institution does not accept the refund, we will email you with instructions on the steps you’ll need to take to receive your refund. Source: Stadia Announcement FAQ Hope this helps!

In case the refund is not successful, you would get an email from Google to ask you to provide an alternate payment method. Hey David (@rootlinux), I'd recommend to be patient still and see when the other refunds will be processed. Google is quite busy atm with all the refunds and they stated they expect to be done with it by Jan 18, 2023. So there's still time left. I'm in the same situation, got some games refunded, some others still outstanding. But don't worry in this case, just be patient.

Hey @BigRedSwitch, Yes it seems they are handled separately, I am in the same situation. I'd say let's just be patient a bit longer and the refund should be processed soon. Google stated anyway, they want to finish the refunds by Jan 18, 2023, so there's still time for the hardware refunds to be processed. P.S.: That's only for Hardware purchased via the Google Store btw.

Hey @LaMustacho, It's normal that Google will attempt to do the refund on the original payment method that you have used to make the purchase. So in this case you can check with the bank if they've received the refund and then check if you can transfer the amount from there to your other account. Just in case the refund would fail, then you would get an email from Google with further instructions for an alternate payment method. More info you can find here: Stadia Announcement FAQ

Hey @john4, At the moment Google stated that they will only process refunds for Google Store orders (Source: Stadia Announcement FAQ). So if you bought your Hardware on Best Buy, it's probably best to get in touch with the seller and see if they can offer a refund from their side somehow. Hope this helps!

That depends when you deleted that Google Account, as far as I know it gets deleted permanently in 30-60 days (this was mentioned somewhere in the ToS). So if the deletion is not that long ago, you can still try recovering your account with the above mentioned steps. For a Stadia account it's similar btw, you can chat with the Stadia team as long as it's within 30 days from the request for deletion (see this article).

Hey @mtaneja, To recover that Google Account that Stadia is connected with, you would need to do the Account recovery process. More info about it you can also find in these resources: How to recover your Google Account or Gmail Tips to complete account recovery steps If you still have issues afterwards, you can also contact the Stadia team, but just be aware that they don't have any extra resources but they can guide you through if you have any issues with the recovery and assist you with it (just don't expect they can magically do something). Hope this helps!

Hey @Frsch89, Google will attempt to refund you on the original payment method that you used when purchasing the game/hardware. So if you switched your bank now, you can still check after 3-10 days if the old bank has received your payment somehow otherwise you can also just wait and see if the refund fails in which case you would get an email with instructions for an alternate payment method.

The other option is you wait longer and see if the refund fails, in which case you would get an email from Google with instructions for an alternate payment method. And if you haven't received the refund by Jan 18 2023, you can also get in touch with the Stadia support.
