As far as I can see for each game save you get a .json file and a zip file in which your save game is. But best in your case for Hitman is probably if you perform a download of your Stadia data yourself. It's quite simple, you request it and then get an email with the link once it's ready and then you can download it as a zip file. More info you can find here: How to download your Google data

About the expiry date, I had the same for some of my Play Balance refunds, but the Play team could fix it (that it expires in a short time). So for that you can contact the Play team. Unfortunately it's currently not possible to transfer that money somewhere else, so you can only use the Play Balance to purchase specific items depending on your country: What you can buy with your Google Play balance

Yeah @Kippax, They seem to process them separately, my software purchases are also done, but hardware purchases not yet. Since Google mentioned though they want all refunds to be processed by Jan 18, 2023, there's still some time left, so I'd suggest let's be patient and wait until the Hardware refunds roll out.

Best is in that case to check with the bank if they got the refund somehow. Sometimes the refund can also take some days to be processed, depending on the payment method, but bank transfers usually happen 3-10 days after the refund was initiated. If the refund fails, you would receive an email with further instructions to set an alternate payment method.

Yeah @VECTION, In that case most likely the refund will fail and then you'll get an email with instructions how to provide an alternate payment method. Can still take some days though, but since Google said refunds will be processed the latest until Jan 18, 2023, there's still some time left, so probably best in that case to wait and see if the email arrives. About the "refund declined" message that you see, I am not sure what it means or why it was declined, but you can double check as well on pay.google.com if the status there does also show as refund declined. Maybe it's also an idea to double check if these two items are not getting refunded because Google didn't state that you'll get a refund. They said "We will be offering refunds for all Stadia hardware purchases (Stadia Controller, Founder's Edition, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages) made through the Google Store and software transactions (games and add-on purchases) through the Stadia Store. Stadia Pro subscriptions are not eligible for a refund. However, you can continue playing your games in Pro without further charges until the final wind-down date." Maybe that helps you a bit to narrow done the decline reason.

Usually it takes 3-10 days if the money goes to a bank account, but the timeframe always depends on the payment method (if you used Direct Carrier billing for example a refund can take up to 30 days until it arrives). It sounds a bit weird that some of your refunds got declined, but it's probably best to have a list ready (like a spreadsheet), list all the ones you expect a refund, double check on your bank statement for which ones you got it already and then check with the bank if they have gotten the missing ones. And if you're still missing refunds, it can also be that it takes Google a bit longer to proceed with them, but they stated all should be processed by Jan 18, 2023. If you're still concerned though about refunds showing as declined and you didn't got any emails about it, you can also double check with the Stadia team if they can see any decline reason. Just be aware they are super busy atm, so it's quite hard to get hold of them atm.

Hey @Wake_380, You can check with your bank in this case. If the refund went through successfully even though your payment method is inactive/expired now (refund can still take up 3-5 days, sometimes even longer), then the bank may have received the money. In case the refund is not successful, you would get an email from Google to ask you to provide an alternate payment method. There's no timeframe though as to when you would receive the email, but you would only get one if the refund fails. Q: I no longer have the form of payment I used to make the purchase. How will I get a refund? A: In many cases, the banking institution will still accept the refund, and we recommend that you reach out to them to receive your funds. If the banking institution does not accept the refund, we will email you with instructions on the steps you’ll need to take to receive your refund. Source: Stadia Announcement FAQ Hope this helps!

Hey @Compulsion, Do you see the same when you go to pay.google.com (does the status for these 4 games there also not say yet it's refunded)? If yes, then maybe it takes a bit longer for these games to be processed. Just a wild guess, but you can also double check with the issuer of the payment method that the refund went to, maybe they have somehow gotten the refund, even though the Stadia App doesn't show it. In any way Google stated all refunds should be processed by Jan 18, 2023, so it's also possible that it just takes a bit more time in your case. Hardware refunds have not yet started it seems btw, I'm also still waiting on those.

I'm not quite sure I understand your issue: Is the refund in the email 0 USD or the amount on your payment method (bank statement, etc.) is 0 USD? In general: You can double check the amounts you paid for the games, etc. on pay.google.com, that way you can also check if you bought them for example with a discount and that's why the refund is 0. Otherwise maybe if you can explain the issue a bit more in detail, it would help to understand what exactly you mean.

Hey @eparveen98, Did you try to check if you have gotten any notification in the top right corner on pay.google.com? If so, you may be able to update your payment method through that notification. If that doesn't work either, I don't see any other way than the email. Can you try it with another device again or in an incognito-window, just to see if maybe an extension or device issue is the cause of the error when clicking on the link? If that doesn't help either, it may be worth in your case to see if you can contact the Stadia team about the issue, maybe they have a way to escalate the issue further. Just be aware they are super busy atm, so the response time or waiting queue may be longer than usual. Hope this helps!

Hey @Hangyballzz, If you purchased the controllers from the Google Store, then you simply have to wait, Google is processing the refund automatically and you'll receive an email about it. They are still working on it until Jan 18, 2023, so I'd recommend to just be patient and wait for it. If you have purchased the controllers from another shop, then you would need to check with the support of that shop if they can provide a refund, Google did not state they will refund these. More info about it you can also find in the Stadia Announcement FAQ.

I'd recommend wait a bit longer until you receive an email about your refund and then see how much you got. About the promotion, I'm not sure if this will be refunded as well, but this you can check out with the Stadia or Store team once you've received that refund.

Hey @mg3207, We don't have any tools to access your Google Accounts (you are the only one who can access it) and can therefore not assist. I also do not believe it is possible to transfer Google Play Balance from one account to another, but you can also try and contact the Google Play team for assistance here. Another idea I have is that you can see if there is any option to buy Google Play gift cards with your Play Balance and then redeem the gift cards on your second account. I don't know if that's possible, but it's an idea. Here is the official Play site for gift cards, with other websites I would recommend to be cautious to avoid gift card scams.

It's quite simple: If the bank confirms they have not received the money, then the refund will fail at some point (sometimes it takes some days until that happens) and then Google will send you an email to provide an alternate payment method. So all you need to do is wait and see. And if this forum is such a joke @jsc315 then you can also contact the busy Stadia team as alternative, but you'll most likely receive the same answer that I've provided, since they don't have any magical abilities to make the money appear. So as I said, best in this case is to wait then for the email of Google if the refund fails or check after a few days again with the bank to see if the money arrived then.

If not and the refund fails, you would receive an email from Google with instructions on how to set an alternate payment method. The customer support (Stadia team) does not have the means to speed up the process, so you would need to be patient in this case. All refunds are expected to be processed by Jan 18, 2023, that's what Google stated when they shut Stadia down. More questions are already answered in this article, so I recommend for you to check it out as well: Stadia Announcement FAQ Hope this helps!

This looks indeed a bit odd. I would recommend in this case, double check what you paid for the games on pay.google.com (transactions). See if there was a discount or similar and that's why the refund is less than expected. Also check with your bank or the issuer of your payment method how much the refund actually was, that way you can also see if the full amount has been refunded, even though you got the texts saying that your refund would be less. But if there's still an issue with these particular refunds after these checks, I guess you can get in touch with the Stadia team to double check. Just be aware that they're quite busy atm (and they will be until 18 January 2023 at least), so it's good if you have patience.
