Turn of location services (seem to help in some cases with MacOS) Yes, this helps with the large lag spikes every few minutes, but my problem is the constant stuttering that happens almost every second.  Use Chrome Canary which Chrome but with the newest features Yes. I tried chrome beta and canary, edge, and brave. They all produce the exact same results. I even ran tried firefox and safari with a chrome user agent Setup Google DNS Yes. I have comcast so this was a pain. Ultimately, it changed nothing as fas as stadia is concerned but the rest of my web browsing seems snappier. So thats a plus, i guess. i also wrote a script to disable wifi, airdrop, bluetooth, and mouse acceleration. It then launches canary in incognito mode with vsync and frame limits disabled and it still stutters. Reduced the polling rate and the DPI on my mouse. It reduces the mouse stutters and seems to improve the latency on input but the game still stutters. It does it in 1080 and 4k. It does it with h.264 and vp9.  booting in windows helps a lot, but it still isnt close to running the game natively.  i found an 8 year old bug report about chromes vsync being broken on mac. Someone said it was finally fixed in july of 2020. I don’t think it was fixed.

I know this is an old thread but the issue remains.  I’ve been playing most of the year on chromecast with no issues. Seriously. I love it. I’ve been recommending it to friends. Then i started playing FPS on chrome with mouse and keyboard and it is just plain awful. I’ve been trying everything suggested. Tried all chromium based browsers. The mouse stuttering can be alleviated but the frame drops remain.  vsynctester.com mirrors my experience on chrome. In macos, its nauseating. Feels like it drops 1-5 frames a second. In windows on the same machine its much better but still drops frame every few seconds. its the same on wired or wireless on 3 macs and 2 pcs.   No issues with input using the controller but frame drops remain. The same game plays much smoother  on geforce now where they have vsync and direct mouse input. No issues on chromecast whatsoever.  I have been troubleshooting this for over a month and Im certain the problem is chrome. iOS support on safari just released and its not perfect but its much better.
