Suggestion: Stop announcing upcoming indie games that people could play on a Pentium 2 with 32MB of RAM every week Stop announcing limited time discounts for games that are already permanently discounted on other game platforms Work on expanding Stadia's library with old AAA titles and games that people actually want to play on Stadia (or need Stadia to play) Stadia doesn't seem worthwhile anymore.

I think the key question - and let's take Valhalla as an example - is can the current generation of Stadia hardware run Valhalla at 1080p60? I mean, there seems to be two distinct lines of discussion here, one being Stadia's hardware and the support of 1080p60 and the second being the developers restriction on res/fps. I would be very interested to know if Valhalla is currently capable of 1080p60 on Stadia's current hardware and Ubisoft have simply restricted the frames, or if Stadia just isn't capable of outputting 60fps at a decent graphics preset. I would have, quite frankly, expected Stadia to have had the forethought to ensure their current gen hardware was at the very least 1080p60 capable for all games and future releases, *within reason*. I mean realistically Valhalla isn't next gen in the GFX department, so why the restriction.

With the release of AC: Valhalla I've noticed a lot of hate directed at Ubisoft because their new game release isn't running at 1080p 60fps. Whilst I completely agree that it is Ubisoft's fault, I do believe that some responsibility does fall on Stadia's shoulders around this issue. Stadia should have a mandate that new releases conform to certain requirements and I don't think it's unfair that in this day and age that a minimum expectation is that games, when elected to run at 1080p, can run at 60fps as standard. It's not a huge ask, and the difference between a 30fps and 60fps cap is very noticeable and can be quite jarring when switching from a 60fps game to playing a 30fps game. Could Stadia share some light on what stance/direction you, as a company, are taking when developers release games capped at 1080p 30fps? Are your customer success team actively encouraging devs to optimise their games for user enjoyment? I think it's been widely accepted that Stadia falls somewhere in the middle of console/pc but does not fit completely in either box, with old consoles running at 30fps as standard and PC's usually hitting 60fps consistently, depending on specs. With the introduction of next gen consoles and PC's easily achieving 60fps at 1080p in all games, it's fair to say that if new releases being 1080p 30fps continues, Stadia will be labelled as inferior to most gaming systems on the market. As a founder since release, I would hate for this to become the message when people are considering Stadia.7 Thanks for reading. EDIT: I'm aware that there is a recent post on the forum where Deathwysh is ranting about this specific topic, however, despite his post being very aggressive, I wanted to share the same thoughts around performance in a manner that opens it up to a civil discussion in the hopes that Stadia feel they should provide an official response.
Stadia is turning into an expensive Indie game library...
