Yeah, the idea is that the game studios would be the ones providing the demo, but the way Stadia works they would have much more control on the way it is done and used than with platforms on which you actually have to download the code (and so potentially spoiler data) to do anything. Besides, the download size/time being irrelevant with Stadia, it would make such a feature much more accessible to interested people too. That's why I thought the idea could work better on Stadia and that the Stadia team could maybe entice a studio to do something like that. But of course it could work on other platforms too, in the end it only depends on the game studios to provide such a feature or not after all.

Hello, A great part of enjoying a RPG game comes from the creation, customization and the choices of evolution of the character you are playing. And all that starts by the initial character creation which can offer quite a number of options, so much so that creating a character alone can take more than an hour of pure joy when you are exploring all your options to make the character you really want to play in a game like BG3 (even in EA) or the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 (according to what we already know). So, I got that idea that I would really enjoy to have character creation demos in advance of game releases when it comes of RPG or other games with such game elements (think like the family you create in the sims or the alien race you create in a 4x game in space). Technically I imagine it wouldn't be that difficult too. After all, it is a very small part of the game, which can easily be separated from the rest. The way I see it, such a demo would be released a few days before the game itself, you could start creating your character there and that would have three great benefits : 1 - It would be enjoyable to start thinking of your character cutomization and to have it ready, exactly like you want it, before playing the game, before it is released even (maybe with a small sandbox too, to see how the character will look with various outfits. In the case of BG3 for example, it would be nice to actually know in advance how the hairs would look like in 3rd person view before concluding the character creation because I can not get that part right yet) 2 - It would give a first impression of the game to people who are unsure about what it is, and if they could like it or not without actually playing the game itself. 3 - In the case of Stadia it could bring an exclusive experience compared to other platforms if Stadia can get those demos and the other platforms can not. Even if it is not an exclusive for Stadia, it would still further improve the experience of starting the game itself the very minute it is released. And since character creation is not something that will actually use that much resources, Stadia could also offer those demos completely for free, even to people who are not paying a single cent to the platform, which could increase interest and awareness into Stadia. I am not aware of any game which would have done something like that before, but I hope the idea is not ridiculous, and maybe it can be of interest for some games, so let's see if there are positive reactions.
