Welcome! Im sure you will find plenty of help and support for Stadia! Whilst I’m not a hardened Stadia player this little community are always willing to help or play! Enjoy!
+1 for these features! Submitting feedback straight after this reply! Here’s hoping we get a Stadia UI 2.0 soon! Smaller icons / grid view would be welcomed.

Hey Tom, Risk of Rain 2 is a great little title. Very easy to pick up and play and not a lot of button presses. Little Nightmares games 1 and 2 are also very good. Arcade type games such as Super Bomberman and Pac-Man are there too! Easy to pick up and play fun race games like Monster Jam and even Grid. The old school Sega Streets of Rage is coming to Stadia soon to so your classic 3 button push arcade beat em up could be an option. As they say there’s something out there for everyone! Destiny 2 is always good fun with a few extra button presses but good fun especially if you liked shooters like Bioshock / Halo. Sometimes the player base can be lacking in multiplayer although I generally get servers to play on ok. Keep an eye out for deals and free play weekends. Stadia have been pretty good these past few weeks with the likes of PGA2K21 etc. Keep at it and most of all…. Enjoy!

I can always relate to this question and topic in general. I’m in my 40’s and have grown up with mates and gaming. Like most things I have one friend who was always and still is a die hard XBox player. He has a lot of games on XBox but still a big Destiny player. I went the PlayStation route from the original PS (aaah Ridge Racer / Tekken ) all the way through to the now PS5. I dabbled on XBox in the beginning Halo and then Halo 2 & 3. Great times when it was Bungies baby. Some XBox 360 and Xbox One. Overall though I still prefer the PS ecosystem mainly due to those exclusives. I could never convince my good friend to have a PS. Before Destiny2 XBox Series X received its new gen patch of 60fps and graphics tweaks I let my mate have a go on Stadia. I could tell he wanted to like it. Mainly for that 60fps but he just couldn’t and let himself stray from the XBox ecosystem that he is very heavily invested in. He did give it credit though. The community is somewhat smaller on Stadia but for the shear pick up and play element I think it’s great. XBox is making a huge push in XCloud so there must really be something in the years to come for cloud based gaming. Personally I think Stadia is head and shoulders above what I’ve experienced on XCloud- as in the experience. Stadia offers an option in the market. There are lots of opinions and it’s good to read other users valid points on Stadia being perhaps more tight lipped on where it’s going. In the back of my mind I’m waiting for that email or announcement saying it’s the end for Stadia…. But I’m reminded that XBox see project XCloud as a future and they’re investing heavily so perhaps Stadia will be with us into 2022 and beyond.

Aaaah Streets of Rage…. The memories of yesteryear and Sega MegaDrive (Genesis for my US brethren!) Been eyeing this up on PS Store since release but glad it’s coming to Stadia! I don’t know why but it makes more ‘sense’ on here?? Perhaps it’s that nostalgic behaviour of inserting the cartridge and turning my MegaDrive on and…. boom game loaded and playing within a minute. Kinda like Stadia is now. I wouldn’t have ever imagined back in the early 90’s if someone had told me….. “One day your gonna have a wireless controller that connects to an Ultra super computer via the internet to a ‘MegaDrive’ so powerful ya don’t even have to put a cartridge in it”#MindBlown Thanks to the @StadiaTeam for still bringing us content and keeping the platform up and running.

We feel your pain! Mine still gets very hot and I’m still playing at 1080p. When Stadia is working I still marvel at its technological step towards cloud gaming and I like to give credit where it’s due. I don’t know if you know but Stadia is now a native app on the new Google TV Chromecast with remote control. It’s getting a decent reception so it maybe worth picking one up when in sale? I know that’s not fair in respect of purchasing the Stadia with CCU originally and it should work. I’m totally on your side as I’ve has my issues too. I’m fortunate that this month I can finally afford to purchase an nVidia Shield Pro so the overheating issue should no longer get in the road of my Stadia sessions. Again the stadia app is now native on Shield so that’s a plus. I also have a fibre connection with a decent ping so hopefully combined with the Gigabit Ethernet port on the Shield Pro my experience will be more stable than it has up until now. To be fair to Google though I really do like the service and I find it impossible to forgo my monthly subscription and evergrowing Pro library!!!! I have a PS5 and yet I still think it’s great to just pick up that Stadia controller and hit the button and get launched straight into any game. Apologies for slight off topic there! As suggested there is an option to stick on tiny self adhesive Raspberry Pi4 copper heat sinks in conjunction with a small USB fan to blow some air across the CCU may well help?? Perhaps £15-20 ( $20) if purchasing new hardware isn’t an option.
Cheers for the heads up!!! I was hoping for a 1440p for the CCU though!! Gonna submit a request to Stadia team via feedback. 1080p 60fps still looks great on the monitor stretched to 1440p but having...

Cheers for the heads up!!! I was hoping for a 1440p for the CCU though!! Gonna submit a request to Stadia team via feedback. 1080p 60fps still looks great on the monitor stretched to 1440p but having that extra clarity would be welcome! I’m just glad that at least Stadia plays pretty much 60fps across the library.

Hi! I will use the feedback option. Seems to be the best way judging by user replies on the forums. I’m sure I have pretty much the same ideas as a lot of Stadia users but I guess the more of us request or put ideas forward to the Stadia ream then it may happen! hopefully with the 1st yr birthday of Stadia arriving soon we might get an update on the user experience / Dashboard. Thanks!

The more Stadiars submit wish list for features, games etc. The more chance it will eventually come. I’d love to see a few things come to life on Stadia but for now I’m Still enjoying the experience!!!

Hello! I’m having a great experience on Stadia since picking up the SP Edition last week. Controller is simply excellent. Gaming at 60fps is very welcome and the free Pro games I have is building! Just wandering if Stadia team is looking at refining the homepage? Would love to see the available library of games utilise smaller tiles and vertical scrolling when navigating games. Whilst the UI is pretty smooth it can be quite tedious horizontally scrolling through my library. Any plans to update or any news on upcoming improvements? plus a shout out to the Stadia team on what is (for me) an enjoyable and worthy service

New buyer here! Purchased SPE end of October 2020. I would be regarded I suppose as a Sony Pony but I have to admit Stadia has been great to experience and game on. Big pluses are all outlined everywhere else (load times etc). For me it’s that simplicity of hitting stadia button on controller, select game. Click. Play! Coming from Destiny2 on PS for so long to playing at 60fps make the whole experience so much better and enjoyable on Stadia. It still amazes me how imperceptible the lag is even when playing multiplayer and I’m guessing that’s down to Stadia optimising it month on month. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see Call of Duty etc but until developers jump on board.... Still. Big titles are coming to the platform and I’m just hoping it’s around for a very long time. My only negative?? The Official Reddit Stadia forum where the moderators continually ban people for posting positive experiences! Don’t know if Google is aware that Reddit moderators can in an instant sour ones views on Stadia!! Aside from that external issue I have all in all to give Stadia a thumbs up. I’ve no regrets about purchasing and would recommend to people. At least give it a go. For me the Stadia Premiere ( CHromecast Ultra and the Stadia controller) us offered me the bestest experience. Over and above a browser / DualShock 4 combo.

Agree with the above. I sometimes see the dark scenes low bitrate artifacts. Particularity last week. It’s easily seen on Destiny mainly when floating round orbit matchmaking etc. I resolved a lot of it with upgrading my network hardware and now the CCU is powerlined to my router. Stadia is now very stable as a result. I’m still astounded how little to no lag there is. It’s a great service! I digress though. Just a question when you mention forcing 4K 1440p.... I play on a Dell 27” 165Hz 1440p monitor and would love to be able to force this mode. Ultimately I’d love it natively but any work arounds would be welcome if someone can point me in right direction??

I felt your pain in relation to using DS4 and playing in a Mac. last week I took delivery of Stadia Premiere Edition and without a doubt it’s a complete new experience. Stadias hardware really does the service justice in that respect. And I would class myself as a Sony fan. Playing Destiny2 @@60fps though always brings a smile to my face in comparison to the consoles 30fps cap! if you can and you enjoy Stadia seriously consider the Premiere edition ;). Stadias controller is fantastic too.

I’ll quickly chirp in and on a few occasions I think my CCU has shut down due to overheating. Albeit it was during playing a lengthy 5 session of Zombie Army 4 @ 1080p. It is hot to the touch most of the time but only a few times it’s disconnected. There’s all sorts of hacking a cooler by using thermal pads and a bit of heat sink out there lol Personally I wouldn’t mess about with my CCU. Best we can maybe hope for is a v2 CCU arriving!

Your phones should work via the controller? I have a set of Beyer MMx300 II’s plugging them into the controller and they sound ok and the attached mic works. because they’re 250 Ohm rated I get the best from them when attaching plugging them into my Creative SoundBlaster G6 DAC. But they’re still usable on Stadia! Part of me wishes that Google had an AppleTV like device box. Small. With HDMI out and an optical out for plugging in with DAC’s etc. The CCU is good but not being able to Bluetooth out to external sound is unfortunate.

Whilst 1080p looks great, it would be nice to have a native 2K res for a sharper picture. 2K looks rather nice at distances of a few metres. It seems that everything is 4K4K4K these days!
