I love Stadia. I love that I can play at home, work, from my phone with my Backbone attached. It is awesome! I hope to see performance improvements this year. I wish it were my most powerful console option. I was gifted a PS5 and XBOX Series S. (Very fun) These are now my most powerful consoles. The benefits that I love from Stadia are slightly marred by the fact that I get better performance out of my home hardware. I only have a 1080p TV so I don't care about 4K, but I LOVE 60 FPS. When I can choose the awesome Farcry 6 on Stadia or Farcry 6 on PS5, I picked to go with the PS5 version since the Stadia version doesn't have 60 FPS. But I loose out on the cool features of Stadia, when I play on my console instead. If I can get ray tracing on my PS5, but not on Stadia, again, I may choose the more performant version and loose out on the awesome cloud features of Stadia. I know the common comeback "60 FPS doesn't matter." or "You don't notice when you are engrossed in the game". I know. I get it. But when the competition does do those things, when I go to pay $60 or $70 for a game, I want the best version I can play. I hope my Stadia blades get to the point where they are more powerful than my PS5 at home. I had a great experience with Stadia where we had a bunch of family that wanted to play games one Saturday. Different members of the group play on PC, XBOX, PS4, PS5, and Switch. I convinced them all to try a month of Stadia Pro and play with me there instead. We didn't have to coordinate wait for downloads or coordinate who has which games. We just got on together and played. We played Bomberman, we played Sniper Elite 4 together and other games. We had a great time! I even had my "Non-Gamer" sister in law play Orcs must die 3 with me! We had an excellent time together. Only made possible by the power of Stadia! Thanks Stadia! Can't wait to see what happens this year! Stadia Wishlist: - Improved performance. (Sometimes it runs like it is siting in my house, other times even though speed tests show my speed is 100Mbps down and 10Mbps up, I still have performance issues). - 60 FPS+ on all games. - Ray Tracing. - Suspended game support like I have on PS5 and XBOX Series S. - SSD drives for faster load times. - Open world cloud based game only possible in the cloud (I want real freeway traffic )
