Another vote for keeping the controllers alive by converting them to Bluetooth. I have 3 controllers and would be disappointed in Google for forcing these into the ewaste system. I would even go as far to say they can keep my money that I spent on the controllers, if they work as bluetooth. In all reality they should keep the controller in there electronics store to sell as a stand alone Bluetooth device.

That's what we are all wondering. Hopefully Google does the decent thing and answers our question about this topic.
Hopefully Google will have the decency to unlock these amazing controllers to be used as traditional Bluetooth controllers.
I've heard of this being possible but never had any luck getting it to work when I tried it.

Please Stadia/Google, don't let these amazing controllers go to waste! Before you shut down, please do the decent thing and update these controllers for traditional bluetooth functionality. It's a true shame to see such a good piece of gaming hardware just get thrown away and become useless because your entertainment venture didn't work out. You spent time and money developing these controllers to be the best on the market, and they are, if they worked for the market. Please don't let these become paper weights that go to the dump. Everyone that would like to see this update, respond here to get the message to Google loud and clear.
Bummer this is how it all went down. Google doesn't seem to stick with anything that's of entertainment. Perhaps just stop trying that industry? On another note, can something good become of the awe... See more...
Bummer this is how it all went down. Google doesn't seem to stick with anything that's of entertainment. Perhaps just stop trying that industry? On another note, can something good become of the awesome controllers? They are the most comfortable on the market and it's a true shame they can't be used as a traditional bluetooth controller. Please Google, don't let these controllers become just paper weights for the landfill
This comment doesn't hold much truth without linking source info. I doubt this is true.
This just makes way to much sense for google to think about.

I agree it's mostly a space waster and paper weight at the moment. I bought 3 controllers when stadia launched, and all though I do still play stadia once in a while, I had to buy an xbox controller to play more of the other games that aren't on stadia that I still play. If I could do it all over again, I would have just bought xbox controllers for the versatility. Stadia controllers are the best feeling out there, it's a real shame they aren't more versatile. (Google makes plenty of devices, why not make these controllers work for everything???) Unfortunately (especially with cloud gaming and Amazon launching too) unless you sick with xbox controllers, the industry is forcing us gamers into their proprietary controllers for their platforms. Make me wonder why I didn't just but an xbox.

There are a lot of people on Twitter complaining about not seeing updates. It would be helpful for them if a tweet went out linking to these updates. You'd avoid a lot of community hate on Twitter by giving people what they're asking for, updates. The Twitter profile for Stadia seems to be more of an advertisement platform but most followers there are asking for more updates, not advertisement. I'm not sure why that connection hasn't been made within Google Stadia office yet. Also - your original statement says you want to have more regular updates starting "next year" but I don't see anything new this year, not off to a great start from your statement back in mid December.
Their entire catalog is gonna be free at this rate of onboarding new games vs making them free lol

Hello can I get some clarification on when my activation code will be sent to me? I received my shipping confirmation for my Founders pro order this morning at 9:45am Nov 19th. From what I understood as explained on the Reddit AMA last week, the email with the activation code would be sent "shortly after" the shipping confirmation. How long is considered "shortly after"? @GraceFromGoogle
