Great deals, just wish Strange Brigade had a steeper discount!
I like turtles.

Hey y'all, I noticed my controller makes noise when it's plugged into my phone and is playing games. Up-close there is a constant white noise, kind of like a screeching or inner fan noise. Of course on phone, I'm always going to be close to the controller, so this is going to be an issue for me in the future. I have it plugged into a USB-A to Micro-USB adapter to my phone. I run a Samsung Galaxy S7. Has anyone else experienced white noise coming from their controllers?
This looks great! I never got to buy Super Bomberman R on the Switch, so this will be an incredible experience on my phone.

They're coming out with Cyberpunk. People with PCs that won't be able to perform and gamers who don't want to upgrade to the next gen consoles yet will be able to play it on Stadia. It's a huge game that everyone has been waiting for for a LONG time. Don't worry so much about Call of Duty. It's unfortunate, but that's not the only thing that would bring more gamers over.
I agree with you. Worms! Worms! Worms!
I'm not sure, you'd have to look through the Stadia store.

And as for your PC/console question, I'd say it's more like a console? I've been playing Destiny 2, and users aren't allowed graphical tweaking like FOV sliders, Vsync disabling, draw distance, etc. There's also no typing in game, voice chat only like a console (please enable typing, old console MMOs like Everquest online utilized the PS2's funny keyboard extension, so why not Stadia?). Stadia seems to run their own servers in games and there is no cross play so far, so we aren't allowed to utilize the huge userbase of PC and console gamers. I think Google's trying to ascertain their own player base before they do anything majorly ambitious and costly to them.

Stadia is a service. You can either use the Free version which streams games you buy off their platform to your PC, or you can sign up to the Pro version, which streams the game in up to 4k and with 5.1 surround sound to you. Pro version allows you access to over 8 games or so per month you're able to claim, however, you must stay signed up to Pro to access them (Like "Games with Gold" or the PS4 Pro games access). Of course, you can't actually utilize the 4k unless you own a Chrome Cast Ultra to hook up to any HDMI compatible device like a TV, monitor, or tablet. You're able to play Stadia games on your phone if you have any compatible controller (You don't need the Stadia controller, but it is nice to look at and will come in handy later). You basically only need the controller if you'd like to play Stadia on any Chromecast paired device, so like your huge home theatre system. There's a free trial right now that I'm guessing most users are on where you're given one free month of Pro to find out whether you like Stadia or not. You can claim the free games this month and I'd recommend doing it ASAP as the month is almost over. Also, they give out a $10 credit voucher for your first purchase, though it is non-replaceable if you refund your purchase. Give it a try!

Hi guys, does anyone else have a problem with how jarringly loud the notification sound is? When starting Destiny 2, I keep the speakers pretty quiet, but then the Stadia starting notification sound pops up and hurts my ears. I cringe everytime, it's hellish. Any notifications from your friends list uses the same sound, and so does the Exit Game notification. I tried turning down Master Volume in the Shift+Tab overlay, but that only lowered game volume. Has anyone got a solution to this rather than turning your volume down every time I start up and exit a game and deleting my friend list?
I get the feeling you didn't read my post, but it's nice to know someone else uses a Thinkpad!
I hope so. FFXIV would be an amazing MMO and would bring over a lot of users, considering it's only on PS4 and PC.

Thanks for the heads up. There is also a fix to turn Vsync off in Chrome out there, but I don't see the point of it considering I wouldn't be able to reach my monitor's 144hz refresh rate in the first place. I'll see if this works! The blurriness bugs me, but I honestly don't hate it considering how cool Stadia is. If you ever find a way to do this in the Windows Stadia App, I'd love to know as well.
