Check Chrome flags to see if hardware VP9 is supported.  Doing the stream decode in software may be the issue

Most TVs have a way to set the output through your TOSLINK cable such that the TV interprets the data and sends something the soundbar will be compatible with, or it sends raw data out (pass-through) and lets the sound-system/bar interpret it.  See if you can find such a setting and set it something else.

I wanna play against my aunt that has an Xbox.  She doesn't have the money to reinvest in Stadia and I don't want to switch platforms whenever I play against a different person.    If people are cheating, then don't play with them!   It would be easy to have a switch that limits who you can play against.

Could likely be throttling because Covid has taken a toll on internet bandwith everywhere.   Here is a copy and paste: " To reduce load on the internet, we plan to roll out a temporary feature that changes your default data usage setting from  Up to 4K  to  Up to 1080p . Stadia Pro subscribers can change this setting back to  Up to 4K  at any time." I would check the settings in your account and see if the max resolution has been changed.  You should be able to pull up your account on the web and just change it back to 4K

The new Vizio TVs will coming out in just a few weeks.  Is there any chance that the built-in Chromecast Ultras in these TVs will be Stadia-ready?   If not, does Google have a plan for this? I'm trying to determine what game platform I want to build on.  The XBOX supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and has bluray player - my existing LG player is getting loud and will likely die soon.  Changing out its HDMI for an Xbox will keep my number of devices the same and I get real Atmos.  With Stadia, I may have to buy a Chromecast Ultra when one is already built-in to the TV (just asinine to me!), no word on Atmos (I'll likely have to upscale 5.1), and no blu-ray player. Yes, Stadia has some advantages.  I like it.  But when can we expect such simple stuff as firmware updates?  Stadia has been years in the making.  Surely the chromecast devices and firmware you license to third parties would have Stadia support by now.  If they don't, then I would assume greedy motives or incompetence, and neither is going to make me buy into a system. So ... Vizio Chromecast for the H models released soon?  Dolby Atmos support?
