Hi @Prozac1972 , Feels bad you tried to improve your home network and it got worse in the end Did you try the following troubleshooting? Explicitly unlink your Stadia controller from the "fiber network setup" and set it anew for the "4G-based network one". Maybe the controller remembers some of the late fiber network setup and could not find it back when connecting to your new 4G / WiFi router... Bandwidth is not the only criteria for perfect gaming: latency and stability are also important. I would recommend you evaluate your network stability and latency using smartphone-based tools (I personally use Anality - no cost) Best option: contact the Stadia helpdesk From my personal experience, I managed to get in touch with an expert in 1 - 2 minutes who took the time to monitor my network and look at what was wrong (basically, Stadia with controller works better when Chromecast and controller are connected to the same Wi-Fi Access Point) Hope this helps and you can find a great gaming experience back!

Hey, I guess I have to say nice work for removing the battery from the controller. It might have been hard unsoldering the wires without damaging other parts  May the controller software check battery levels during boot and if no battery is found, it powers off? Maybe attributing the correct voltage levels on battery wires would trick the boot checkup? Another way would be to monitor the USB power level as laptops may not provide enough power at startup (if power stabilization is reached using a trade off between the battery and USB power). And last thing I could think of is hacking the controller software but it might be "Mission Impossible"  We might not want to create a "How to hack your Stadia controller" in this forum, as it may not comply with its policy  I still don't see why you want to remove your battery from your controller except getting it lighter... Nowadays, battery management are quite good in hardware and long term use will not lower your battery capacity as much as it did before!

I guess using a VPN would be a solution for countries which do not have Stadia eligibility yet (using desktop only) VPNs on Chromecast seems to be hard to achieve. Are VPNs available on Google TV?

Hello everyone, After a few months of answering questions and reacting to posts in the community, it is finally time for me to post a question in this channel. I already know that such features should/must be transmitted through the in-app Stadia feedback channel (and I did I think a year ago) but I wanted to get to know other players point of view on this matter. First things first, one has to admit that there is a huge difference between PC gaming and console gaming as FPS (and general shooters) are involved. Accuracy and reactivity are indeed far better using a mouse than using the joystick on a controller - and don't even think of Smartphone-based gameplay: you will end up being the first person to die on the battlefield for sure I became quite convinced about this "PC superiority" until I played Zelda BOTW on Nintendo Switch. For those who haven't played it (yet), we are able to change the bow orientation using the right joystick AND the gyroscope within the right controller. As I played, my accuracy was astonishing (or at least far better than regular joystick-based aiming) and I felt quite natural to move the joystick a bit to get a rough aiming direction and then use the move the controller to fine tune this direction. If you have not experienced it yet, I recommend you to try to get to know this feeling and it was easy to shoot 3 headshot arrows within 1 sec, which is impossible for me in current Stadia gameplay, firstly because I usually use guns instead of bows but mostly because of the lack of gyroscope! Therefore, I would find quite useful to get a gyro feature in next hardware generation of Stadia controller. When using L2 to enter aiming mode, we could fine tune the direction by moving the controller in 3D (or maybe using the gyro on phones?). This could be game specific aiming controls, which can be turned on or off in settings. Of course, making a u-turn while aiming could become quite tricky but I would like to try such a gameplay in console (or rather cloud?) games.  What do you think about it? Would you find it useful or rather counterintuitive? I know this topic has been addressed in Stadia community for about 2 years but I wanted to know if there is any cons with this feature (maybe network usage or battery life?) Best,
I recently read that Stadia lowered its share ratio from 30% to 15% to attract more developers. Let's hope this would bring more game into the platform in the months to come *Fingers crossed*

Hey, On the technical part, I would advise to have a look at your network configuration on the software side. A level 2 switch should not, theoretically, lower your network throughput but other switch/router settings could create some drops such as port forwarding/range, special rules, ... As I am concerned, I always thought Ethernet would be more reliable than WiFi but, when I reached out for Stadia technical help, it looked like having the controller and the Chromecast in the same WiFi network was the best adviced configuration (at least 1 year ago). Maybe you can discuss this matter with them? Note: I also figured out that my ISP was providing me with 1/4 of the full IPv4 range (0 to 18k instead of 0 to 65k) as it was sharing a same IPv4 address with 4 persons because of addresses shortage. Other video-based usage worked fine but I had troubles with playing Stadia. Asking him a permanent full IPv4 address fixed part of my problem, if it is of any use to you Best!
Hi BigPete7978, Nice question: I guess my play times look like. Chromecast Ultra + Stadia controller: 95% MAC/Chrome + mouse/keyboard: 4% Smartphone/Androïd + touch control:1% Best!

I might not have the correct answer for your issue as my configuration is somewhat different: my Chromecast is connected to my Pioneer amplifier, which splits the audio to my sound system and the video to my TV. No audio problem on my side. Did you try the following troubleshooting? Connect your TV with your soundbar over an optical cable (I know it won't solve your eARC issue but you would experience 5.1 audio) If you are using eARC, I understand that your GoogleTV is connected to your TV over HDMI (normal slot), and your TV is connected to your soundbar over HDMI too (eARC slot). Did you try to launch a game, then unplug your Google TV from your TV and plug it directly into your soundbar to test the audio only? This would narrow down whether this is a TV or GoogleTV-related issue Is there a way for your TV to report the incoming audio mode from the Google TV? Best!

@Soccer7711 , Have you tried the following troubleshooting? Factory reset your Chromecast Ultra using the Google Home app (in the upper-right menu), reinstall it into your home and make sure it is up to date (do not connect it to your controller yet) Factory reset (and not hard reset) you Stadia controller by holding the GAssistant and capture buttons for 6 seconds when the controller is on (https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9584135?hl=en#zippy=%2Cfactory-reset-your-controller%2Creset-your-controller-hardware-reset) Then, connect your controller to your Wi-Fi again, update it and link it with your Chromecast Ultra when asked to do so Aside from your TV linking issue, is your Stadia connection working fine on Smartphone or laptop (latency, blurry pixels, ...)? Best,

Mine would be: Secret Neighbor First reason: scary Second reason: scary Third reason: scary man. I can't handle such pressure lol Though the gameplay and the overall concept is interesting, it's such a shame I won't be able to play this game anymore! @spwrozek , don't try to change the topic towards SW Jedi Fallen Order only The goal is to create a game list of games we're happy we didn't buy. Though I agree with you that my experience with SW Jedi Fallen Order is quite fine so far

Hello @constnt, Is your problem resolved as for today? If not, it seems the problem is either related to your network stability or a specific bug with your Stadia account. To test the first, I would better recommend using the tool MTR (Matt's / My TraceRoute) on laptop. Results of the command " mtr 8.8.8.8 " would tell you whether packets are dropped inside or outside of your local network. As you can see, I have great stability (Loss% = 0) but my latency could be better (Avg appr. 60ms)... As the connection seems to be interrupted on every device, you may also test it on Smartphones with the app " Analiti " in Connection tab > Ping to compare local router ping and 8.8.8.8 ping statistics though you have less information than mtr. I hope this piece of information would help you find out what happens after 1 minute of gameplay. To resolve the second, I would recommend getting in touch with Stadia hotline (https://support.google.com/stadia/gethelp) for them to determine what's going on Best!

Hey, @lightzz Alternatively, you can make use of wireless airplane Bluetooth jack adapters. Quick Google search should give you good product results around $40. As I am concerned, I am satisfied about the one I own. Though it would be better if it were integrated directly into the controller (or unlocked if built-in)  Best

Hi Panda, I have troubles as well when connected over Ethernet. I once reached the Stadia team who adviced me to stay connected over WiFi for best compatibility. It seems that, in such way, controller and Chromecast are in the same LAN network. Do you experience lags or visual flaws when connected over WiFi? Best,
