Stadia is robbing us blind. There's no other platform where a game released as the Gold version gets downgraded and another Gold version gets released. I bought the Gold version in 2020. On my purchase it even shows the Gold version picture. Now in my library, my picture shows as the regular version and I have the Season pass... it's a joke.  The worst part is, nobody who works for Google on this forum is going to answer the question of what exactly happened here. They're pulling a fast one on us, and laughing about it. This was my Purchase, and it has the Gold game cover that USED to show in my Library: This is how it shows in my library now       Even on the game page itself, they are showing 2 Gold Editions... how stupid is that?   Maybe I'm wrong and they're not robbing us.... but they sure are doing stuff to make it FEEL like they're robbing us.
Anyone know if Ubisoft has stopped offering the daily orichalcum quest on AC Odyssey or if it's just glitched on Stadia? I haven't gotten any for the last 2 days.

Thanks. I don't see anything that says that, just the error and it's literally when I launch the game so it's not like I'm trying to take a screenshot, I'm not doing anything with the controller at that time, so that's weird. Maybe if it happened just once I would think maybe I pressed a button accidentally or something. But it happens everytime I launch AC ODYSSEY or Phenyx. I haven't noticed yet if it happened with my other games though. If it keeps happening I'll reach out to support in the app.

Recently, whenever I start sooner if my games, like AC Odyssey or Fenyx Rising (maybe it's a Ubisoft issue?), I get a pop-up message that says "Restricted Scene" then "End of restricted scene". It only happens when the games first launch. It doesn't seem to cause any problems, but it's just kind of annoying. Anyone else experiencing this, and does anyone know why it happens?

@Alien1Dare The product works. Thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands?) of us are playing Stadia on tv, PC, and mobile with our controllers. IOS is bit different. It's not really built for iOS yet, but there is an app out there that supposedly let's you play. I know tech support can be a headache, but the reason they exist is to help people who are having issues just like yours, because most of us aren't having any trouble connecting our controllers. So if you really want to play you should get in touch with them. If you complain that you're having trouble, and you've tried everything, but also say you don't want to get help from tech support, then some people aren't going to take you seriously.

@spookiekabuki up to now, there haven't been any discounts or coupons for Stadia games outside of the offers you will see here in Stadia. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're just ok.  If you just started today, you actually missed a pretty big black Friday sale that ended yesterday.  If you're looking for discounts on brand new games, you're not going to see much of that. Although NBA 2K21 has a deep discount right now if you're into that. We couldn't even pre-order until recently, and now you'll see some pre-order promotions for extra game content, or if you order CP2077, I think you can still get a free Stadia premiere edition.  Anyway, that's about it. Stadia has some games on sale most of the time. Which games and how good the sale is varies. I don't think Pro is limited. It's just that if you're looking for a bunch of new AAA games on Pro, that's not what you're going to find. Mostly indie games, and she pretty fun have mixed in there if you try them out. But you'll have to purchase newer games from the major studios, they won't be "free" with the pro membership.

I pre-ordered the Gold edition of Fenyx and was charged the $99.99 price. But when I look at the game in my library, the standard version shows as purchased, the gold edition still shows as pre-ordered, and then there's a Stadia gold edition that doesn't show as of I bought it at all. What version do I have? Somebody tell me what's happening please.

If you're on iOS 14, you SHOULD be able to use install the Stadium Full Screen Browser from the Apple app store, which will allow you to play Stadia on iOS. I think at one point Apple removed the app, but I heard they brought it back to the store. It might be worth checking it out until the REAL Stadia app is available in the Apple store. Here's an article on it https://www.androidcentral.com/you-can-now-play-google-stadia-ios-14-sort

@Frank5  It sounds like you don't have a Chromecast Ultra or a Stadia controller. So there's a couple of things here... 1. On an iPad, you CAN play Stadia IF YOU ARE ON iOS 14. But it doesn't sound like you have a controller, so I'm not sure how you'd play the games anyway. But here is an AndroidCentral article that tells you how to get Stadia on iOS: https://www.androidcentral.com/you-can-now-play-google-stadia-ios-14-sort 2. On PC, Stadia does not yet support Keyboard and Mouse play. So again... it sounds like you don't have a controller. You need one. It doesn't have to be the Stadia controller, there are a lot of compatible ones, although they might not work exactly the same. But you definitely need a controller of some kind to play Stadia... unless... 3. if you're using the Stadia app ON AN ANDROID DEVICE, you should be able to use on-screen touch controls if you don't have a controller. Here's an Android Police article about how that works: https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/08/01/how-to-use-touch-controls-when-playing-google-stadia-on-your-phone-or-tablet/#:~:text=Along%20the%20top%20row%2C%20from,keys%2C%20and%20the%20right%20joystick. I really like the Stadia controller. Would be nice to see some adjustments and some new colors. The only thing I don't like is that during a long gameplay session, the joysticks to me start to hurt. They're a little hard compared to some other controllers. BUT... I did figure out just a couple days ago that some fairly cheap joystick pads that I previously bought for my XBOX controllers, fits and stays on MUCH better on the Stadia joysticks. I think the head of the Stadia joystick is a little bit wider than Xbox, so that's probably why the joystick pads fit better.

There's still no fix for this, but there's kind of a workaround. If you quit the game, then go to resume game it will take you to your last save, which is probably the last completed move before the game froze. It's not great, but it's better than being halfway through a game and having to start from scratch.
I just found this thread and even though it's 6 months later, I'm having this same problem. Seems like Ubisoft/Stadia haven't done anything at all to fix this.

@Mehmeh Stadia is not Luna, if you want Luna then there's always... Luna, lol. And Stadia's Chief has said more than once, that Stadia is not intended to be like Netflix. That's not what Stadia is trying to do, so people should stop mentioning Stadia and Netflix, or Stadia and Luna, or Stadia and any other platform that WANTS to be the Netflix of games together in comments. @Quantum-Travel  Ubisoft announced not too long ago that they are trying to bring Uplay+ (I think now it's Ubisoft+) to Stadia by the end of the year. If you don't want to re-buy the games on Stadia, and if you have a Ubisoft+ subscription, you will eventually be able to play all of the games included in Ubisoft+ by using your Ubisoft+ subscription on Stadia. That's the only way you would be able to play games you own somewhere else (PC, Console, etc) on Stadia without buying the games again.

Soo.. I have Hitman as art of the Pro sub, and I purchased the GOTY Upgrade. But when I try to play, it doesn't recognize that I bought the upgrade, and keeps saying I don't have access to the content. Anyone else having this problem? Is it because I own the game as part of Pro? Since it's part of Pro, I can't BUY it, so if that's the case, then I can't use the upgrade and should just ask for a refund right?

As a founder, I don't see this as a problem at all. It might be a little different for original premier members, but I pre-ordered as a founder to get the exclusive blue controller, to get the name I wanted with no numbers, and to be one of the first people to play. I also realize we probably paid a little more because at that time Google is trying to get money to make early contracts with developers, to hire people to build and support the platform etc. So yeah, we paid a bit more. But we also had some good deals along the way that new people have missed. Also, the CP2077 deal is available to all of us! The price of the game costs less that the price of one controller, so if you wanted an extra controller and were planning to buy CP2077 then it's a win for you too even if you're already a member. Personally, I think the biggest problem Stadia faces right now is there's not enough users. In order to support the full vision of what Stadia is supposed to be across multiplayer, across the YouTube experience etc., they need a much bigger base of players. So I understand why they're basically giving it away right now. I hope it works and they can build the base and really make Stadia what they said it would be.

@Babaganuche7 Ahh! OK. I didn't think about it in terms of the sales. It makes sense that if you want to make sure you own the game that you get it at a great price, which obviously you can't do it you're a Pro subscriber who has claimed it. Yeah, that does stink, because even if you could purchase it later after ending your sub, the discount price is probably gone. Thanks for clarifying that for me!

The people behind Stadia have repeatedly said that this is not a short term project. Also while they were not specific, they did state EARLY ON before Stadia was even released, that if in some crazy way, the platform failed and they had to shut it down, that they would "make the customers whole". Most likely that means they will probably provide redemption codes for any games that users BOUGHT and owned on Stadia.  Personally, I'm not worried. Stadia is in a much better place than it was a year ago. They have support and partnerships with major developers and indie developers and I think as we see many of the promised features starting to happen, the platform is only going to get better. There's still some competition, and there's going to be more competition coming I think. But it feels like Google really believes in Stadia and has a long term plan for it.

Spectrum in the US will also be adding data caps in the near future unfortunately. They tried to lobby Congress this year to allow them to start using data caps. So far it hasn't happened. But they are more than 5 years into their agreement they made to not impose data caps for 7 years. So in about a year and a half they won't have to ask for permission because the 7 years will be fulfilled. Unless Elon Musk or Amazon are providing strong home internet via their satellite programs by then, we're probably all going to be under data caps in the US except for the FEW lucky folks who are on Google's fiber network.

If you pre-order Cyberpunk 2077, you will get an email after the game is released telling you how to claim your Stadia premier. This depends on a few things, here are some of the important ones I've heard about, but this is not everything. If you are redeeming a code to buy the game, it is not eligible. You have to be purchasing the game. It's only "while supplies last" so if the promotion is still going, you should get it because it could end at anytime once they decide the supply is used up. This is important if you're planning to buy the game on release day anyway. Because even if you pre-order it now, you won't be charged until the game is released. So you have nothing to lose by ordering it now instead of waiting for release day.  Hope this helps!

Some people have already said it, but I'd love to see Witcher 3 GOTY edition come to Stadia either at a nice low price, or as a  free Pro game. It's an older title, but it was still good enough to make it to a Switch game. It's a great game I would definitely play through multiple times on Stadia.
