Also, I was wrong about the base game price. It was 29.99 US. But the ultimate was $59.99. I don't know if they allow external site posting here, but if you Google it there's an Android Police article that lists all the launch deal prices. Still it looks like I should've bought it then compared to the $119 regular price. That's on me. But I'll keep praying for an even better sale, lol!

@Nilas Anyway, my point it's not to argue with you. I agree with some of what you say. I think that when the other stores are having holiday sales, if possible those sales need to be matched here whenever they can. And maybe they can't... Maybe Google just can't get the developers to do that yet. All I'm saying is I wish they could.
@Nilas No it wasn't... Not in the US at least. The standard edition was $39.99 ... possibly $34.99?. Either way... The ultimate edition was $60 ($59.99) US, don't know what it was in Euros. I consid...

@Nilas No it wasn't... Not in the US at least. The standard edition was $39.99 ... possibly $34.99?. Either way... The ultimate edition was $60 ($59.99) US, don't know what it was in Euros. I considered it at the time, and it was a good price considering most other sites didn't have it on sale at all. But it also felt silly passing $60 for a game that Google gave us the PC version to already (if you were in the beta). AND... in hindsight maybe a mistake in my part? I was hoping for a better sale on it. If the ultimate edition dropped to $39.99, I would've bought it for sure.

@Nilas I disagree partly. I think the issue is sales for sure. I know they have a small library. They had to know when they decided to launch the week before black Friday that people would expect them to have competitive holiday sales... Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Green Monday, Christmas etc. And like I said, some of the prices have been good. The pro prices have been really good when everyone else is at regular price. I have bought games myself. But I think they can do a little better on the holiday sales. I DO AGREE that they are trying to get people to buy games so they're hooked to the platform. That's why it's important to make decisions in matching holiday prices. A lot of people save their money for the big holiday sales. Like I said, Ubisoft has AC Odyssey Ultimate for $42 for the holiday. Ubisoft has been working with Google since the beta. So it's surprising we haven't seen any discount or matching sales on that title which is still a very popular games and one that would definitely help tie more people to the platform. I'm not trying to complain about the pricing overall. Some of the Pro deals have been great and Google doesn't set the prices the developers and publishers do. It would be nice to see those people match the holiday sales they have on other platforms on this one too.

I wish the publishers would match all their sales though. I really want to buy ac Odyssey on Stadia. But I'm not buying it at full price. The Ubisoft store had it on sale yesterday for $42 (ultimate edition) and it's still $119 here. That's sad since Ubisoft is supposed to be one of Google's Stadia partners. But I guess some of these sales have been good. I bought Grid and Shadow of Tomb Raider at sale prices here.

@Picketfence There doesn't seem to be a lot of information available about this set up. My GUESS is that because local/couch/co-op play isn't available yet for anything (except Ghost Recon Breakpoint which uses the Stream Connect feature) that only one connected controller is going to be recognized for sound. The claim by Google is that eventually there is going to be no-limit local couch/co-op play depending on the game you're playing: "How many players can play on a Stadia game? The number is dependent on the game you're playing. Stadia will support full multiplayer titles, as well as couch based co-op and single player titles." https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9338946?hl=en So probably once this feature is fully implemented you'll be able to get sound on all connected controllers for games with local couch/co-op multiplayer. But until then, probably only one controller is going to receive sound. Like I said this is JUST a guess based on what I could find. I hope it helps.

@SuperSonicBoi man I sure hope this isn't the Christmas sale. Right now Ubisoft has Assassin's Creed Odyssey Ultimate edition for PC for $42. It's still $119 here, even the standard edition here is $59.99. If the current sale is the Christmas sale, it's just as bad or worse than what happened on Black Friday. Just a mess. I know Google doesn't set the pricing. But Ubisoft is supposedly one of the Stadia partners. If Google can't convince THEM to offer good holiday discounts, it's hard to believe that we'll ever see competitive holiday sales on this platform. So I hope we're going to see a good surprise before the holiday ends.

Also I'm not saying @Mad_Dog_Bravo is wrong. I just think that it's been a year since the beta ended and Ubisoft had been basically a partner in this since then. So there has been time to dedicate resources to the effort. I think it's obviously not done, but it's not as far from completion as we might think.

@Nilas I think @Mad_Dog_Bravo answered most of your points about Uplay+. I just wanted to add... I don't think it's going to be very difficult to port the games. The infrastructure is almost surely in place, that's how they ported AC Odyssey during the beta. Licensing deals with the publishers is going to be the difficult part. But the capability is already in place and has probably been being tweaked and perfected since the beta.

My thoughts on this are that 1) Google hasn't decided any of this yet, and 2) 2 games a month seems unlikely. I think Google is creating some goodwill right now to make up for a pretty bad launch, and also to reward the early adopters of the platform. But they haven't stated that there will be "pro" claimable games monthly (only "regularly") and haven't stated how many games will be offered regularly. The reason I say 2 games is a lot is because even after the release of all the games they have contracted so far, it's going to be a relatively small library. And, it's going to be a library packed with newly released games. Game development takes a long time. If they offer 2 free games a month they're going to run out of games pretty quickly unless they find a way to get older games into the platform quickly. And I can't see them offering some of the upcoming newly released games for free when games like AC Odyssey are still full price. So I think they'll offer free games regularly as they said but it'll probably be one game and honestly I don't think it'll be monthly until they build their library up better.

@Nilas that's good information! I did not know about the refund within 14 days if you have less than 2 hours if play! @1timer dude... I'm just hoping they actually do something for Christmas. Their black Friday sales were weak compared to other platforms. So I'm hoping for Christmas we at least see some really good deals or even get something free. I'm still hoping for AC Odyssey as a gift from Google since it was the game used in beta and the next AC game will probably come out in 2020. I know it's still a lot to hope for. So I'm really just hoping for a really good sale.

@Hawke @ I'm hoping for Christmas they give us an ACTUAL free game, to own, not just to play under the pro subscription. But if it will be just a Pro subscription game, I'm hoping for AC Odyssey the full version. I think that would be a great gift considering the next AC is probably releasing next year. Also @danieljudge80 - it's more likely the next Pro claimable game will be early January. They just happened to launch in the middle or end of November, but then the second round of Pro claimable games came at the beginning of this month. So unless they give us a Christmas surprise, it'll probably be at the beginning of January for the next "free" game or games.

@Razza I don't know about horribly misplaced or unfair. I have turned the corner on this though after seeing a lot of unfounded complaints about pricing and other stuff. Even I was wrong about some prices. I know the developers set the pricing. The only fault I have with Google is I feel like they could probably offer incentives to the publishers in the beginning to get some even better prices while they grow the platform. So I don't think it's unfair. The developers/publishers certainly decide in the end. But Google could probably influence those decisions. But overall, I'm finding I was wrong. The pricing is fair enough and the pro discounts are decent. I even bought the Shadow of the Tomb Raider at the current pro price. It will be nice to see how this platform moves forward. Mostly I'm positive, and I've had a good experience.
