I can confirm that USB-C wired headset plugged into the controller (direct, no adapter) does not work when wirelessly pairing to either the Chromecast or PC using Chrome browser. The headset is getting power from the controller, LEDs light up, mic mute button light functions, but no audio signal. No message appears on either CCU or Chrome confirming that headset/mic are connected.
Yeah I really wish we could get some official statement from Stadia on what makes one set work over the other. My headset seems to receive power too... LED lights function but no audio signal.

I doubt that was due to a loss of budget. You've got a BR that most people have moved away from because the genre has so many better options now. Getting on another platform like Stadia was probably just an effort by the dev to get more people playing their game. But it's PUBG so 🤷 More than likely what you've got is a game with so few players that for them to divide the lobbies on Stadia between controller players and kb/mouse players means you can't fill a single game. They probably did it just to keep the matchmaking alive.
I think it was a Japanese kitchen knife. They did an early docuseries on how they came up with the feel of it and the designers were big fans of ambidextrous cutlery.

Can we get some kind of list going for which headsets do work with the Stadia controller? The release of this feature seemed to take a pretty broad strokes approach as if saying any audio device using this connection should work. In practice, that doesn't seem to be the case. We've confirmed a couple SteelSeries headsets are working (mic too) as do the Pixel wired earbuds. Samsung earbuds, Asus ROG headsets, Turtle Beach/Roccat products seem to have issues connecting. Is this something that will be looked into soon? A lot of these headsets are big investments and having to buy something new just for Stadia is a big ask. Overall this new feature seems pretty hit or miss right now.

Is this some sort of phased roll-out? I'm not getting any connectivity with my usb-c headset (Asus ROG Delta) and no updates run when I force reset the controller. It's a wired usb-c headset. No adapter. I feel like maybe I'm just not getting the new firmware for some reason?
