No Battlefield. Very disappointing.
Wait... this is going to be the first week in a while without any sales?

I love Stadia and the technology behind it, but wow I had low expectations for Connect and still got disappointed. With all the hype from these gaming events this summer, you'd think that Stadia would only have an event if there were some large announcements to make. Everything featured today may as well have been a blog post. What the community expected/speculated: Platform features such as Family Sharing, messaging, even a search box for the store Future news about the hardware and Gen 2 as next-gen consoles are coming soon News about UPlay+ and those games being ported to Stadia Support for additional regions Large AAA game announcements Instead we got click-to-play for only Pro members, and a few decent games padded by a lot of indie titles. Ubisoft Forward made me more excited about Stadia than Stadia Connect did because of Watch Dogs: Legions, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, and Far Cry 6 all releasing day and date on Stadia. I mentioned I had low expectations, because at the very least I thought we would hear about new platform features. Even the "Summer of Gaming" sales aren't that great compared to previous sales on Stadia. What do you guys think?

That wouldn't make sense for Stadia since it's free to use. You'd be using their servers for free to play a free game.

Thank you for this. To be honest, I doubt they'll even read this post. I'm tired of generic answers on Twitter telling us that there's nothing new to share and to what tuned to social channels. I love Stadia but the fact of the matter is that it's still missing the most basic features - we don't even have a search bar for the store! What would be appreciated is proper engagement with the community here and on Reddit letting us know what they're working on and little updates here and there. We can't depend purely on speculation. Also wanted to add, the Stadia marketing needs some improvement. All the ads I see just promote the Pro free trial when signing up, but most people don't even know that there's a free tier! One of the best parts about Stadia is the low cost of entry. No monthly fee, no new hardware needed, if you purchase a game you can play it for free on existing devices. The Play store app rating has now dropped to 3.4 because of how many people don't understand the basic premise of Stadia.

Exactly, the communication issue is such a problem. Other then the this week on Stadia updates, they don't seem to really engage with the community or read feedback. And asking anything on Twitter, like about Family Sharing (which is an overdue feature), will give a response like "we have nothing to share about that feature right now but we appreciate your feedback" and "stay tuned to social medial and blog for updates". Some sort of community engagement here or on Reddit would be nice. I've emailed CDPR (CP2077 devs) and we'll see if they respond about the release date. In the meantime I doubt the Stadia team will address this or even read the forums so we'll see.

If I remember correctly, Google mentioned Family Sharing in "early 2020". It's almost June and I haven't seen any updates since then regarding the feature, but I'm holding off on buying more games until I can be sure that I'll be able to share them with my brother (just like the Play Store family library). I've also heard that if a game is shared with family only one person at a time can play it? Thanks!
