Its about commercial arrangements, exclusivity and service level arrangements fundamentally. Development teams are somewhat slaves to publishers, and the arrangements they make, regardless of the preferred platform. Its frustrating as  a player, but development for one doesn't mean development for another.  The best thing a platform can do is get a user base that makes it financially daft to NOT develop for it.

I've had this problem in the past.   I'm afraid that the issue is more likely your ISP and connection rather than Stadia itself. The first port of call should be to contact your ISP and ask them to monitor for a steady connection with no blips. Stadia is reliant on a consistent data rate, not just a volume.  It will test your line like no other service. My ISP ran a diagnostic, stabilised the line and its never happened since.
@GraverValentine  Who is your ISP?  I'm not saying that it is or isn't, but if all people experiencing the same issue have the same ISP, then then may point to it.  ISP's in the UK slowed bandwid... See more...
@GraverValentine  Who is your ISP?  I'm not saying that it is or isn't, but if all people experiencing the same issue have the same ISP, then then may point to it.  ISP's in the UK slowed bandwidth speeds last week for gaming connections to balance the networks after COD released a mega patch with caused an abnormal load on the network.   If for no other reason, its worth contacting them and ruling it out.

Hey @Theblazingdude  Apologies for tthe request for clarification, but are you saying you want to run Stadia on a Laptop, using a USB keyboard and Bluetooth mouse, but the system is seeing them as a Sadiia Controller? Also, if so, do you own a Stadia controller?
@Matt1  Yep, great point and one I didnt think about at all.  Scrap the age bracket thing!!
@Chiram  Do you have any plugins for Chrome?  And what antivirus software are you running? What percentage of CPU load is Stadia taking using device manager.

@Mwanahabari  Far from being ageist, I think this is a good idea.  I do not mean offence to younger players, but would prefer not to suffer the insults of a 16yr old in the chat  (Stadia is really good for this actually, the bile and vitriol of other games platforms hasn't transferred across, thankfully). I'm open to adding strangers as friends, something I'd never have considered on PSN or Gamepass, but would prefer to know peoples age range, so I (and you) can be selective.   So happy to say I'm in the 40 to 45yr old bracket.  (Hence why I'm also rarely online)

Hi @Alien1Dare  This really isn't the experience you should be having, and many users on here will have had experience on setting this up. Can you give details about the system you are trying to use, one of the cobtrollers you are using, how you are connecting it and what you are getting and we will try to help.

@laamb  This doesn't sound like the experience you should be having, and the issue replicating across multiple devices is an interesting one. Do you get the same functionality defects across other games?  Can you try a few, both single ayer amd mmultiplayer for a couple of minutes, how do they respond? Then can I ask what speed your  wireless is?  Try ookla's speed checker and can you report upload/download and ping responses. The good news is that issues can be fixed, its just finding the cause.

If copies are available, you purchase the game and are then emailed a code within 30 days  of the gsmess release to use in the Google Store.. Think that's all there is to it.

Ray Tracing isn't new to this Gen, its been around for a while.  And the tech isn't the game xhanger that the jump from SD to 1080p is, or that a DVD to a Blu Ray is. I'm not knocking the new consoles, but having to toggle 4k and Ray tracing on amd off on day 1 of a new console to achieve 60FPS mean this gen has come around more due to competition than innovation.  HDR was around on the PS4, 4k on the PS4 Pro.  That means that they have to slap something on the box other than 'faster load times' and a 'new controller. Ray tracing is far from the secret sauce its being hyped to be.  Go look at the reflections in Washington in the Division 2 and tell me again what you think you are missing? Id far rather Stadia looked at data usage, screen switching, higher resolutions at lower connection speeds and latency inputs (If only to shut trolls up).
A great first year with a service thats ever improving.  Great work Stadia team, we are behind you.  Congratulations on your first anniversary.

@glyth  Were you using a headset with an inline mic, and are you somewhat sweary if things don't go your way? I've noticed on both PS4 and Stadia that may particular playstyle (mash buttons, swear at myself or the dog when I fail) tends to get flagged if I have a headset on, even if I am not in a group lobby or multiplayer game. This can obviously be toggled off in Stadias settings.  Or growing up, but I am in no danger of the latter.
