I also don't understand why Bethesda/ZOS and Stadia work on this together... Bethesda Support doesn't respond to bug tickets as they handle bugs in a different way then other issues... This issue now exists for so long... This is inacceptable... I know that not all users have this issue with mouse on ESO but all my friends I know have the issue as well... Here are my chat histories with Stadia and Bethesda Support in case some of these steps might help other users fixing mouse issues... For me it did not but who knows maybe someone else could need it First Try: Twitter Bethesda Support: @BethesdaSupport I have a problem with The Elder Scolls Online on @GoogleStadia. Sliding the mouse with the same speed left and right gets totally different camera movement speeds each time (slide)... Does not hapen with controller or other Stadia games. Answer: Hi. Our friends over at @GoogleStadia should be able to help you out with this. Second Try: Twitter Stadia Support: @GoogleStadia I have a problem with Elder Scolls Online. Sliding the mouse with the same speed left and right gets totally different camera movement speeds each slide... Does not hapen with Controller or other Stadia games. @BethesdaSupport send me here... --- Hey ___, thanks for the tweet. Let's get this sorted out. Could you try restarting the game to see if it'll make any diffirence? Also, have you tried using another mouse? --- Already restarted. Only have one mouse but a friend has the same issue as well with an other mouse. It's also weird that it seems to be worse if other input is beeing sent as well (for example run forward + look around with mouse) --- Gotcha. Have you tried connecting your mouse to a different port on your computer? Also, playing on an incognito window might help. You could do this by pressing ctrl + shift + N while a Chrome browser is opened. Let us know how it goes. --- I am sorry to say these things do also not solve the issue. --- No worries, we have other troubleshooting steps to suggest. Could you send us a DM? --- Now in DM Chat --- What else can i try then to get rid of the ESO mouse problem? In that clip recorded by stadia cou can see that from second 22 to 23 there is a small stutter and all of the sudden the circular movement gets a smaller radius. But the mouse was moved the same way as before... This happens all the time during movements the mouse sensetivity seems to change every few seconds by some larger value. --- Gotcha! Could you try playing on Incognito mode and see if you'll get the same results? --- Already tried: - Restarting game - Playing in CTRL + SHIFT + N Tab - Other USB port - Friend also has the same issue with an other mouse - Other games on stadia work perfectly - Works with controler (only mouse in eso has problems) did not solve the issue --- Thanks for trying. Could you try turning off your mouse acceleration on your computer settings and see if you'll get the same results? --- Did also not help. Beside that I also tried to change the following chrome flags. - #enable -pointer-lock-options - #enable -resampling-input-events Tried both with enabled and disabled... Did also not help I also noticed that while running and opening a menu (so that mouse apears) and moving the mous ein circles... The mouse pointer behaves perfectly like I think I move the mouse... When I leave the menu while keep pressing running... The camera works... Stop pressing forward and pressing forward again while still moving the mouse lets the issue happen again --- We appreciate the details. To cover all bases, have you tried linking your Stadia account completely through The Elder Scrolls Online’s website? Here’s the link: https:// goo.gle/3ecAyCb --- I already linked my eso account weeks before the stadia launch yes I realy love the Platform it just needs more blockbuster titles. ESO was one of the titles I was thrilled to play so i am a bit sad that that this is the only game on stadia where I have problems which make the game feel so weird that I can not play it like that --- We understand you don’t want to miss playing your favorite game. Don’t be sad, ___ — we’re here to help. To get better results, could you try making sure your computer allows our website to access JavaScript? Here’s how: 1. Open Google Chrome. 2. Go to https:// goo.gle/2rc5FKt . 3. Click the Chrome browser's Menu button. 4. Select More. 5. Select Settings. 6. Enable JavaScript. 7. Exit and reload our website. --- Was already enabled... But I explicitly added http:// google.com and http:// stadia.com to the javascript allowed websites. Will load stadia again now and start ESO. What's the next step? --- Got it. We'd suggest opening up some ports on your router for both TCP and UDP with ranges 44700 - 44899 as this is required to play games on Stadia. For more questions about port forwarding, refer to the router manufacturer's manual or a simple Google search for "(your router model) port forwarding" should pull it up. --- I think i already did that in the past as i tried to configure my network to prefer stadia traffic over other network traffic for better performance. Not that performance was bad before but just to make sure when other people stream music or stadia as well that stadia has access to more bandwith all the time but I will check my router configuration now please stand by --- Cool! Keep us in the loop. --- Still configured like that --- You're doing great doing all the troubleshooting steps. We'd like to take a closer look at this. Could you fill out this form and let us know once you're done? __link__ --- Thanks for filling out the form. Our team will take a look at it and we'll update you through your email. Have a great one! Third Try: Google Email Support: Hello ___, We're back -- our team would like to make sure all sides are looked at. Have you tried checking if within the game settings of Elder's Scroll Online there's a mouse sensitivity option? If you haven't checked it yet, could you clocking this article link to see if this option is available in the in-game settings? https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3301/~/how-do-i-change-my-eso-mouse-sensitivity%3F --- Hi, I tried it but it did not solve the issue. The issue is not that the sensitivity is too low or too high... The issue is more that the sensitivity dynamically adjusts (wide range) all the time while some keys are pressed. This does not happen if I start ESO locally on my PC but I would like to get rid of the disk space... I also tried: Restarting game Playing in CTRL + SHIFT + N Tab Other USB port Friend (mohrjanamohr@gmail.com) also has the same issue with another mouse on Stadia Play with chrome flag #enable-pointer-lock-options enabled and disabled Play with chrome flag #enable-resampling-input-events enabled and disabled Turn of Windows Mouse acceleration Did also not solve the issue. The issue is hard to explain... I also captured some Video of the Issue with Stadia but it's hard to see there as well as you have to feel it while playing (but will attach it). In the clip I try to move the center cross around a tree in the distance. (Works fine) At about 6 Seconds my character starts moving... After that every few seconds the sensitivity changes and I struggle to move the cross around the tree like before...Imagine it like driving a car... You steer the steering wheel slowly and steady 30 degrees to the right. The car steers a bit to the right... Then you steer it back to the original position (slowly and steady). But the car wheel only steers a bit to the left. Then you steer even more to the left (slowly and steady)... Still not back in the original position... Steer even more (slowly and steady)... Wheels steer over the original position by far... You could not drive a car like that... --- Hello ___, Thanks for providing us all the details — this would help us get to the bottom of this. We'd like to get a few more details. Could you tell us the make and model of your mouse? Also, when you use it, does it open up a utility program (i.e. Razer Synapse)? --- Hi, my mouse model is the "Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum" and I have the "Logitech Gaming Software" installed. I just forced a shutdown of the gaming software process and deactivated the Windows Service and Autostart in the Taskmanager. Problem is still there... --- Hello ___, Thanks for letting us know — it looks like this gaming mouse supports both wired and wireless game-play, have you tried playing using both type of connection? If so, do you get the same results? Also, if you have game pad available (i.e. any HID Compliant controllers, PS 4 controller, XBOX controller) could you try using it? This would help us isolate if this is an input or in-game issue. --- Controllers work fine, the issue exists using the mouse and keyboard. I tried both wired and wirelessly but it does not make a difference. To be honest... I also think that it is game related because of how to reproduce it... I first contacted Bethesda Support about it, but they sent me here right away... Even if I think the problem is on their side I followed instructions and contacted Stadia support ... --- Hello ___, Thanks for the details — so we could isolate if this is game specific, could you try other games and see if you'll experience the same? This should give us more information about the nature of this issue. --- No it does not happen in other games. I also tested Borderlands 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed Odyssey and The Turing Test and did not had such problems with the mouse. --- Hello ___, We appreciate your time and effort — we know you've already tried reaching out to our partner publisher Bethesda, since this is only happening on a specific game, we'd still suggest to try sending them feedback about this. You could go through this website: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/incident?fresh From there you'd need to select a few things to forward the details: Feedback/Bug > Stadia > Gameplay or performance / stability > sign in to your TESO account Once done, all the information you've given will be forwarded to them. We don't want to stop there, you could get back to us if you get a reply or if they didn't take the feedback you've sent to them. We want to make sure you're getting the most out of Stadia . Please, keep us in the loop. Fourth try: Bethesda Ticket: Reproduction onStadia: - Login and select character - Press and hold "W" & "A" Key (Move forward + Move to side at the same time) - Move the Mouse to move camera (look arround) Expected: - The camera rotates relative to mouse inputs (so that it feels good) What happes: The issue is hard to explain... After the chracter starts moving the camera sensitivity changes every few seconds to a different camera sensitivity. The sensitivity change is SO BAD that it is realy realy diffecult to navigate the character around. Imagine it like driving a car... Additional Info: - Only happens with Mouse and Keyboard (Controller works fine) - Happens only on ESO (OtherStadiagames work perfectly fine with mouse & keyboard) - Internet connection is very good - No noticeable input lag - The issue is not bound to "W" and "A" Key... It happens with almoast every key! - "Start & hold any key" -> Camera sensitivity issue starts - "Stop holding or tapping any key" -> Issue goes away (until new button gets hold) - Already contacted Twitter BethesdaSupport(they sent me toStadiaSupport) - ContactedStadiaSupport(they sent me here again after dozens of mails) Already tried: - Restarting game - Playing in CTRL + SHIFT + N Tab - Mouse in other USB port - Other mouse - Play with chrome flag #enable-pointer-lock-options enabled and disabled - Play with chrome flag #enable-resampling-input-events enabled and disabled - Turn of Windows Mouse acceleration - Disable Logitech Gaming Software & Services - Changing Camera Sensitivity in ingame options - Switch to NA instead of EU Server Did all not solve the issue. --- Answer: Greetings, Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team! We greatly appreciate you bringing this potential bug to our attention. This information has been collected and will be passed on to our development team. You will not receive a further response to this ticket. Then I gave up...
