Thank you to the Stadia team, developers and players. In the first week of August, I bought a Nintendo Switch. I never dreamed I'd buy another console again, especially after not owning one since 1994, when I sold a SNES and games to buy my first computer. But I finally got sick of the news that games that should be on Stadia weren't coming. NBA 2K had long stopped coming, and now Madden wasn't coming. Still no NHL or any baseball game. I bought 120 Switch games in less than two months and even started buying some, in the past week, I have on Stadia. It's as if I could feel the news coming, just like how I felt a nudge to buy a hand-size Washington Redskins helmet (oh, the memories of the glorious 1982–1991 run) the night before the news broke that the team was dropping the name, with merchandise being pulled immediately. I even caved and bought a PlayStation 5, just so I could play NHL, my all-time favorite game, as it was clear it was never coming to Stadia or Switch. So long, Stadia. I am happy that Google is giving refunds. If it didn't, I'd abandon Google for everything.
