It was kinda cool first few games that had it. Now everything has it killing any semblance of uniqueness within the game. Instead of the game defining the fun, it pushes season content.

Naturally and organically; humans want to drift new things into zones they are most familiar and comfortable with. I see a lot of call-outs for Stadia to have social media like features, custom profile pictures and just about every familiarity that other platforms, services and networks provide. But think for a moment Do we REALLY want it to be just like everything else? What if Nintendo Switch caved in and did the same thing as Xbox? It's amazing just to jump on that console for the different experience it provides. If anything, I urge the community to think of features games and ideas unique to Stadia we can landmark or improve on.

I get where you are going with this. I see the logic. But if developers start to refuse going with Google due to its lack of player volume. If they don't market a big hitter way of bringing in the crowd, developers won't want to touch the brand. Google has the capacity and funds to do both. I say they need to go big with it.

It's unfortunate. Unless the game is cross play and cross progression the odds of finding other stadia players is small. The number of games has saturated the playerbase. I love this brand and want it to continue... But at some point they need to get the heavy hitters in here and get mass appeal for self stability. It's not a deal breaker for me personally as I'm enjoying the platform straight up for what it offers. My kid loves it. But not having user-base to function on it's sole multiplayer merits should be a heavy focus.
