first, two different products. GCP != Stadia. Second, it's a lofty goal they've set... ambitious even, to become #1 cloud player. (AWS is #1, Azure is #2, GCP is #3.) Strictly a market play for their cloud provider side of the business. They've already made a decade long commitment to Stadia, and with them producing their own first party games through their own stadia game studios, there is an implied 4-8 year commitment simply in development time. TLDR; This article is an out of context conversation that is really around a goal set to move their marketshare higher. They had a real decision to make, either go further into cloud (and target enterprise customers) or get out of it. That's the discussion point you are seeing from those articles that's stretched and taken out of context. The went left, pushing further into the enterprise space with investment into hybrid tech such as Anthos. anyway, rant complete.
And some padding, don't forget the padding. That's worth at least $9 by itself.   But seriously, yes I could have done it cheaper.... however, I had the disposable income so I disposed it.
I wound up getting a little amazon basics 6" cable. I couldn't find a short one with right angles on one side and usb-c on both ends. but I will keep looking another day. for now.... stadia!
The only thing it didn't do was a "mass achievement" notification string for all the queued up things achieved. I was hoping for some screen spam!   seriously though, this is a great addition!
Fantastic! Now to find the 'perfect' cable for my phone and controller.
Same as @I3joernnn, pushing the stadia button and then closing the stadia overlay fixed it for me too.

So I noticed that Power Support, the company making The Claw, have added it to their store and you can make a purchase that goes into awaiting fulfilment. (I did, and now sit and wait for it to either ship or be canceled by them. woot!) https://www.powersupportintl.com/google-claw-for-stadia-controller/ I would call this pre-order, but hey, they didn't choose to put that word on there. Regardless, it appears from their blog post on the 13th that they are shooting for a mid December (now?) release date. https://www.powersupportintl.com/blog/claw-for-stadia-controller/ Enjoys! Update 18DEC2019 And I woke up this morning to an email that the product shipped. I would suspect the Google Store will be updated 'soon' with stock. But for now, the maker is shipping orders!

Closing the loop on this thread. TLDR; I think most everyone has gotten this working by reconnecting directly to their ATT Modem's wifi rather than using the dmz/passthrough to devices behind it. To add some more color, I've put mine in "true bypass mode" which removes the ATT modem from handling any traffic beyond satisfying the 802.1x cert challenge. This allows me to have my nest wifi -> ubiquity router -> ONT Internet Direct to GPON on house. (The att modem's ONT port sits off another port on my ubiquity to respond with the cert, but nothing is connected to it's LAN and it's WIFI is disabled.) In this config, my issues are also gone. That pretty much to me says it is an issue that surfaces when the ATT Modem is configured in passthrough, and the connectivity of the controller passes through the back-end device in that setup. So options: 1. Connect to the wifi on the uverse modem. 2. Setup the full bypass if you can. (bread crumb: https://medium.com/@mrtcve/at-t-gigabit-fiber-modem-bypass-using-unifi-usg-updated-c628f7f458cf) Good luck all!

I guess for more banter...   I have IPv6 enabled, but it appears my PC <-> stadia while streaming is IPv4. That address I'm averaging 19.8ms response time. I'll have to see about finding what the controller is talking to next... I would assume it is the same destination but I'm not where I can capture that.   Surprisingly, I'm talking to something at the end of that 500 mile stretch for my first path of ATT and not being re-routed up north. So, that's good.
Att being a common denominator? Say it ain't so... I've had issues in the past with optimal paths on Uverse... my luck that's probably related. (They really like my traffic going south 500 miles, only... See more...

(They really like my traffic going south 500 miles, only to wind up routing to a CNF 200 miles north of me for peering with other providers including google.)

If its any consolation, I'm in the same boat pretty much. * ATT Uverse 1Gbps up/down. (FTTH) (Configured for DMZ Plus/passhthrough) * Nest WIFI. Base router is in the same room as me, and confirmed that the controller binds to that AP. (Funny, I just dropped my old ubiquity gear for this.) * WPA3 enabled, and Game Preferred is enabled. (I've tried it with both on and off.) Nest wifi speed tests float around 649/150, while targeted speed tests with other tools normally float >700/>400 with ATT modem tests usually staying at the >800/>800 range. Not experiencing any screen artifacts, or notices of poor connection/disconnects. (Regardless of hardwired/wireless PC, or hardwired/wireless chromecast.) I plan to do some testing connected to my phone, it's just not been my priority as I plop down start playing and stop caring. I've poked stadia on twitter about it, but consider it low priority for myself right now. If it's still an issue after a few more weeks then I'll start hitting up the support channel to see what I can tweak. Curious if you get any traction on a fix.

Oh ok, that's I believe a chromecast requirement not explicitly stadia. At least I've seen that be an item raised on some dev forums in the past. There used to be components that can be acquired that allow you to put something inline to bork that up, but I have no guidance there.   Considering your capture device only supports: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 480p, 480i Might it just be easier to do a full screen cap of a browser session rather than the chromecast output?

I agree with this. Whether or not I need the patch notes directly, not sure. But at least some notification that the game did receive the update that the community might be waiting on. (Throw a badge on the game? IE, "updated" since last played or something. ) I'm thinking back to projectstream where we all were just waiting endlessly for AOC to get an update. Granted it was not the same state that stadia is today, but still. More info is better... Give us "Nerd Stats".
