Seven of our Stadia purchases were made with an AMEX *gift* card that was our family payment method at the time. Once the card's balance was zero (or nearly zero) I had changed our family payment method, destroyed the physical card, and unlinked the card from Pay/Play store. Stadia has sent emails confirming refunds of prior purchases. 6 of the 7 charged to that AMEX said they were successful. Only one had an issue, with a link to "fix" the payment method. I reached out to Stadia and they said I can reach out to "the bank" - which would be the one handling AMEX gift cards, but I do not have the full card number or CVC anymore. They also said to be patient and that it would (somehow) get fixed. I'm curious if anyone else had made any of their purchases using a gift card / whether the refund went back onto the (old) gift card. I'm assuming other people may have been smarter than me and kept the old, depleted gift card (though why you'd save a zero balance gift card several months later is beyond me)
