I know, @Deleted User. This is why I specified the Chromecast doesn't have a built-in ethernet adapter. If you want people to jump in on Stadia, you have to remove every possible barrier. Otherwise they will try Stadia via wi-fi, complain that it "lagggggs", abandon it after the trial period is over and never come back. If this is what Google wants...

Hi Wolf! With Stadia, you can keep playing with the game you purchased as long as you want. They will take care of ensuring compatibility all along the various upgrades of their server, so you don't have to worry about a thing Stadia doesn't provide extended rentals. That would be typical of Gamepass or Amazon Luna, where you can play with a game for an undisclosed amount of time before it's taken out of the subscription. With Stadia, games you buy are yours to play. Forever.

Google, you know I support you and all, but you just can't launch a new Chromecast with Google TV and no support for Stadia since day 1. At best, it makes it look like the company isn't fully committed on its projects. At worst, it conveys the idea that the company has no vision and cannot coordinate products and activities. I really hope that Stadia support comes sooner rather than later, I would've loved 2.1 HDMI support and Variable Refresh Rate. Keep it together, Google. EDIT: Grace was quick to point out that Stadia support will come "first half of 2021". Hope this promise doesn't end up like family sharing in early 2020... EDIT 2: No built-in ethernet port? You must be joking. You have to be. EDIT 3: Chromecast Ultra is not available on the store anymore?! Gotta keep my fingers crossed that my unit doesn't die on me...

I agree. Even if we couldn't upload our own (I get it... safety concerns....), it would definitely be nice to have some new ones, I feel we all look alike

Hi all, just wanted to chime in because I was about to open a new thread asking the same thing. We definitely need more wi-fi profiles for our controllers. It's super annoying to manually re-pair them every single time that we play on a different network. This could be managed inside the app. Select a profile, connect and go. If the controller must pass through pairing mode to get access to Bluetooth and communicate with the smartphone, so be it, but at least let us choose with one tap the wi-fi profile without inserting the password again and again

Thing is, game development and game porting is not up to Google, but to the game developers. If we cannot play with Call of Duty WW2 it's not because of Stadia, or Google, but because Activision is focusing their efforts somewhere else. To have games on Stadia, software houses must first dedicate resources (which translates in time and money) to port the game. Google can only help subsidising or supporting debs during the process.

Keep up the local co-op games!! We need them badly! Also thanks Stadia for explaining in such detail the multiplayer modes (online / local co-op) in the games info on the store!

Hey Grace, I wanted to thank all the Customer Support team for deciding to refund applying users of their Tomb Raider / Farm Simulator purchases. I appreciate this gesture incredibly, it's so nice to see that you care about us! I was on the fence of asking the refund for my Tomb Raider copy, but in the end I decided not to. Just to say "thank you"... in my own way. Keep up the good work guys. The key for a successful platform is anticipating what users want!
