Hi, Is there a specific reason you need to turn off your Chromecast? It is meant to be plugged in and powered continuously. The Chromecast receives updates over the air and if it's kept powered it will always be ready to use for streaming and Stadia. The supplied power adapter is required as far as Google recommends but if your set up is working with the USB cable I don't think it will harm anything. If you do experience any issues with connectivity etc, you will need to go back to the power adapter.
Hi, Have you tried adjusting the Chromecast volume in the Google Home app? Open the Google Home app Google Home app. Select your Chromecast device. Adjust the volume.
Great input @MartinManHunter. The opening of the FE was nice. Set up wasn't awful but had to reboot the Chromecast one time to get everything to play nice. I can't wait to see what other games they add.

My order didn't ship either so I chatted with the Google Store. Shortly after, my order shipped so you may want to reach out to the store.
