@Chiram  That's the thing though, they're not making improvements. "No Cheaters" was key feature that was actually in place at launch. Imho Stadia actually took steps to remove that feature, the feature that motivated me to purchase two Premiere Editions. I completely regret my purchases and I'm playing mother hen with my paperweights until Stadia finds itself. I voiced my concerns and displeasure about the possibility of adding cross-play before The Division 2 launched. I was worried, because so many others wanted cross-play to artificially boost Stadia's playerbase or to play with friends on other platforms. Stadia is currently free, Pubg is currently free, so you'd think the masses would flock in droves right? Wrong! At least in my fairly large circle of gaming acquaintances (PC & Console), not a single other gamer has considered trying Stadia. It's fricking free! What's next? Paying gamers to try Stadia. Stadia just keeps doing it wrong. You want boost Stadia's true playerbase, and prove its use case? Add COD MW / Warzone (currently plagued by tens of thousands of confirmed hackers on PC), and keep it ABSOLUTELY closed-platform. This would showcase Stadia's one true asset, and instantly solve the unsolvable problem of local platform gaming. Do it, and they'll come, they'll all come.

@eferrerom4772  I live in the downriver area, and in a Comcast only city.  I felt your pain, but here's what I did.  I setup a new account (this is a new customer only plan, so get creative) then I signed up for the Xfi Advantage plan. In short the plan gives you unlimited data for renting their new wifi router, but you must get at least a 300 mbps plan. I got the 600 mbps plan at $85/month for 24 months, I believe the 300 mbps plan is $60ish. The plans 24 month period is for price point not features, so the unlimited is not at risk for now. I'll tell you this though, some Stadia games still have issues (Trials Rising always lags) regardless of connection speed. I changed my internet plan solely for Stadia a few weeks after launch and nothing has changed to better my issues. That being said,  the "you only need 30 mbps to play at 4k" is pretty much bs in the end. This isn't Netflix, buffering won't help gaming, so any connection hiccup is instantly felt, and a 10 gigabit connection won't help that. So unlike my other Stadia grievances that could some day be addressed, connection issues are the camping elephant in the roo
Both Pubg and The Division 2 have cross-play. The Division 2 only has cross-play with PC though.

Stadia brass has yet to udder the no hacking taking points since pre-launch. I'll say it again, Stadia's only real selling point was it being hack/cheat free, but that's not true anymore with the implementation of cross-play. Stadia should be looking to poach every last PC player by rereleasing all the games ruined by hackers as closed platformers. With the consoles now embracing kb&m in closed platform play it seems Stadia's niche market will continue to shrink.

@ShadyWags That is truly ridiculous. You also can't bind alternate kb+m controls. Surprise...yet again Stadia and its devs drop the ball. This platform has no identity or standards at all. Stadia said, "Play the way you want, and with No Cheaters."  I wholeheartedly bought into Stadia with those two things in mind. I could deal with all the feature delays, lag, and lack of games. I can't deal with limiting peripherals and forced cross-play. Stadia is definitely good at backpedaling and false advertising. I'm shelving Stadia until devs understand Stadia should do Stadia, but by then Stadia will go the way of Glass and Hang Outs. Whatever...

@jayo2k As a PC player with a slightly dated rig (GTX 1070), I completely have the opposite view of you. I guess it comes down to what you're looking for in your gaming future. If you must have the top tier graphics and PC only mmos, then a maybe choose a PC. For me that's no longer the case, and I can't wait for the next gen consoles to drop. I'm currently officially using KB+M on my PS4 Pro to play COD-MW4, and can easily choose to exclude the PCs rampant cheaters. But, even with cross-play enabled the PC players can barely hold their own against the consoles. You're actually starting to hear the PC players complain about getting beat by controller users...lol. If consoles continue to embrace kb+m I'll use that $2000 to purchase one of each next-gen console, a new 4k gaming monitor, and a few games. Where does Stadia fit in? Sadly, I'm not so sure now.

I really made this post with FPS games in mind at the time. I bought The Division 2 to play on Stadia, but opted to spend my time playing Warzone on PS4 instead. PS4 implemented official kb+m support with the ability to disable crossplay which I'm always sure to do. Warzone banned around 50K PC players in their first ban wave, and with that news I'm more anti-crossplay with PC than ever. The consoles have large enough playerbase's to allow the option and still have enough non-crossplay players to fill matches at low wait times. Stadia doesn't have that luxury and to top it off The Division 2 added PC only crossplay...wtf. The PC should be excluded from all crossplay endeavors period. I've strictly been a PC gamer forever, but with kb+m on consoles I won't be going back. I also challenge anyone who thinks kb+m has an unfair advantage on consoles to go give PS4 Warzone non-crossplay a try. The controller aim assist absolutely gives it the edge by a good margin, and I'm more than willing to except that than play one more minute against PC players. As for Stadia, I've lost hope on this front.
This feature is needed and so is a official response.

Well... I was compleyely shocked last night. I jumped on my PS4, played MW4 Warzone,  cross-play disabled, officially using kb&m, and without a PS Plus subscription. This really doesn't help my argument that the Stadia Pro subscription may possibly be enough to bring ftp games to Stadia. I also know how some players feel about kb&m on consoles, and want to ruin their gameplay experience. I feel less guilty with Pro PC players now complaining about controller players having an advantage with modern aim-assist. I love kb&m for fps games, but refuse to continue playing on the PC. The PC hasn't been able to solve the hacking issue since inception and never will. Yes, hacking on consoles is possible, but a console ban is mighty good deterrent. With all the "PC cross-play will save Stadia" nonsense, I'm definitely wavering on this platform. The ability to play with kb&m on a closed platform is all I really want. A nextgen console could possibly be my platform of choice now, I honestly didn't see that coming.

I'd love to see it, but don't think it's likely. I honestly don't think we'll ever see a FTP game on Stadia, unless it's only available to Stadia Pro members. FTPs of any type offer Stadia no real incentive to host the game on their hardware for base users. Developers of FTP games make their profit from microtransactions and likely won't share a large enough percentage of their profits to entice Stadia. Hopefully I'm wrong, and please tell me if I am.

Still can't believe people are so happy to jump in and play with the PC. I left PC gaming because hackers ruin nearly every **bleep** game, and The Division is one of those games. At least its reported we can opt in or out, but I feel it should be a permanent decision. I feel that if you opt in or transfer character you should be flagged as a PC player, and no longer able to play on Stadia only servers. With $3 PC copies of the game it's ripe to risk a ban to carry raids and such. Don't need that easily acquired op gear in Stadia only servers.

I'm gonna get down to the brass tacks now. I love Stadia in its current state for 2 reasons. It's unhackable, and has parity among all players. Based on the thread response: 80% want CPP, and 20% do not. Honestly that's disheartening to say the least. I'm really struggling to see Stadia's appeal if its level playing is compromised. Stadia exclusive: * Steaming? Nope * Cross-Device Play? Nope * 4k/60fps (cough)? Nope * No Cheats? Yup * Player Parity? Yup We're talking about stream vs local play here people. PVP streamer lose badly. PVE streamer is likely Leroy Jenkins due to Stadia not hosting the CPP game. If CPP is merely implemented, then Stadia breaks its "No Cheats, No Hacks" promise. Ah ah ah, wait... that's not true, you'll need to "opt in" to CPP first. Ahhh nope, I'll opt to turn on my PC, PS5, or XBSX, and sadly decimate Stadia players. Fortunately, I haven't seen any official word from Stadia on this subject in a while. Last was in a press release before launch that mentioned they'd be open to discussing it with developers. But, 80% in favor of CPP is pretty decisive, and likely a taste of things to come. I'm not using Stadia to play against other platforms, I'm bad enough lol. @ARGAH  said, "Stadia is like a LAN party" with all players on identical rigs, and no ability to cheat Don't mess with that, you'll have nothing left.

@ARGAH  I vividly remember viewing the full video of the link I posted earlier.  I remember another video of a woman touting the same thing. I was sold on Stadia right then. I knew that cloud gaming tech would continue to evolve and have growing pains, but I was in. The ads Stadia runs currently are comedy, they need use those real selling points used on stage in new ads. I've always been primarily a PC player,  I bought a PS4 because every player with fingers was hacking The Division and DayZ on PC. That experience wasn't any better. Stadia is my new hope lol. Let me state this as clearly as possible.  If you were able to 1v1 yourself in an FPS game, one you using Stadia and the other you using Xbox/PS4. Stadia you isn't getting a kill, unless Xbox/PS4 you takes a bio mid match.

@ARGAHAgain, I agree. Even the option will further reduce Stadia's true playerbase, and after getting their heads cracked they'll go back to a local platform. I'm actually trying to get friends and family to try Stadia by touting the things I've mentioned. Should I switch to telling, "Oh yeah, you can play with everyone on PC, PS, Xbox and more." They own that hardware. Why would they switch?

@Jenesis  Stadia advertised crossplay between your devices. I don't recall them promising a crossplay between pc, ps4, xbox, etc. If so, I personally wouldn't have purchased Stadia if that was the case, I already own those. They did however tout a superior "cheat free" multiplayer gaming environment on stage: https://youtu.be/vscPGupgznM @others Destiny 2 does not have CP on any other platform. Not even Xbox with Windows PC, that's for good reason. Most CP games are F2P cash grabbers, except for COD MW I guess. On that note COD MW - Ground War doesn't allow CP opt-out, and that's going great for console players lol. It's a turkey shoot even for direct connect consoles. Again, I'd personally wait for more gamers to see the advantages of gaming on Stadia. Bringing in Stadia haters and critics, cheaters, and op hardware is a mistake that will ruin a platform with great potential. Sorry, that's not the playerbase boost I'm looking for.

@Jenesis  I disagree with adding players for the sake of adding players, at the cost of Stadia. That playerbase you and I both have on our PC's is still there. Stadia is not a console and not a PC, yet it has the best of both, and the crap of neither. It's never going to be directly connected to outside game servers, so why allow an inferior game experience on Stadia. On that ever old M&K vs Controller debate. You knew that was allowed when you bought Stadia. This isn't a PS4 where we're debating adding M&K into the fray, it's already an accepted peripheral on Stadia. Are you saying you want to further split Stadia's playerbase into separate lobbies like on consoles? Do it, just don't add in players that aren't governed by the same standards as Stadia players. The PC's in the other room man.

I see the inflated price arguement alot, and I'm sure people aren't gonna like me saying this but... I'd personally pay $10 more per game on Stadia. Why? I can play it anywhere, and I understand that comes at an extra cost to Stadia not me. Yet Stadia has consistently discounted games since launch which honestly surprises me. But disregard, and keep those discounts coming Stadia.

@ARGAH  Absolutley! Stadia needs to step up their game on informing gamers of what they actually have here. Honestly...some of the players here don't seem to know what they actually have in their paws. Maybe some were console players that always wanted a PC, but that high cost kept them out. PC is golden drum, full of toxic waste. The competition has an army of fanboys reviewing a platform they've never even used or simply want to see fail.

Can't wait for more games,  but the lack of games can't really be blamed on Google. Developers need to embrace it, and I personally think they will. Why wouldn't they? Stadia perfectly secures intellectual property, and makes it playable anywhere. I know Stadia currently feels like a beta test but Google needed to start somewhere. Maybe even just to show developers that the tech works, and works well
