Hey, thank you for your answer I have tried what solution, but still I'm having heavy lag spikes constantly and games are unplayable in 4k. I am checking the task manager which shows +90% Chrome CPU usage and around 40% GPU usage.  I would like to add a litlle bit more detail about my hardware: Gaming Laptop MSI 2qd Dominator, with an external 4k screen. CPU: i7 Fifth generation. I read in reddit that vp9 hardware decoding capabilities starts in the 7th generation but I'm not sure it that's true or not. GPU: Nvidia 970M Latest drivers and chrome updated. Windows 10 This reddit thread explains that this hardware (which is not so old, I mean is an i7 and a 970M) is not able to decode vp9 and it is been done by software. @ChrisFromGoogle could you please confirm? Thank you for your help!
Check Stadia+ extension in Chrome and make sure you select vp9. It should make It.
