I've been having issues wirelessly linking my Stadia controller to my 2017 MacBook Air since wireless play was officially launched. I never have any issues connecting to my CCU or my mobile phone (OG Pixel), but for whatever reason linking to my MacBook Air is incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes it connects almost immediately after inputting the proper linking code, other times it will not connect at all after many attempts. I've followed all the linking steps, and it's just so bizarre that this only affects me on my laptop. It works absolutely fine when it's wired, but for whatever reason it just does not want to play nice. I've created a thread about this in the past and support followed up months ago but the issue never really resolved itself, despite it sometimes working, sometimes not. Very hit or miss and hard to determine what the actual problem is.

Just wanted to mention that I've still been struggling with this issue. Some days I can connect no problem, today I haven't been able to connect once wirelessly after more attempts that I can count. I've followed the official steps on the controller linking page and while at times I'm able to connect almost immediately more times than not I'm not able to connect at all. Paging @GraceFromGoogle, @ChrisFromGoogle  Any advice?

@bluebobz I did read the article. If you want the Marvel Legacy Outfit pack it seems you must get the Limited-Time Deluxe Edition for a much higher price. The Deluxe Edition that comes out on Friday will include the other pre-order bonuses " without the launch-exclusive Marvel Legacy Outfit pack/nameplate" as it states. For every other platform, regardless of which edition of the game you pre-order, you get all the Marvel Legacy Outfit pack. What's more, if you go into the Stadia store and inspect the Marvel Avengers Preorder Pack, it just says that you must own the game - it doesn't explicitly say it's tied to any one version: "Description Purchase Marvel’s Avengers for a Marvel Legacy Outfit pack, and a nameplate."   This leads me to believe that the pre-order bonuses WILL be given to those who buy the Standard edition, like Bethesda did with Doom Eternal this past March since we can't pre-order on Stadia. Some official clarification from a non-social media team member would be great because they often get their info wrong.

It really sucks that we can't pre-order the Standard Edition of Avengers on Stadia to get the Marvel Legacy Outfit pack. Will users who buy the game within a limited time window after launch get those pre-order bonuses, sort of like what Bethesda did with Doom Eternal? It's a bit of a bummer to hear that we may not get these things... @GraceFromGoogle @StadiaTeam Can anyone shed some light on this?

Awesome update but I don't see the Experiments tab anywhere on the Stadia app on my Google Pixel. I know I'm able to play if I go to website on Chrome through phone and select desktop view, but I'd love to be able to play right from the app. I checked PlayStore to see if any updates for the app itself and it didn't appear. Will this be taking some time to roll out? @GraceFromGoogle Thanks!

Awesome update!! Excited to sink my teeth into Jotun; seems like a perfect game to beat in a sitting or two from what I've heard. I guess the biggest news is ESO coming as a Pro title on June 16th and although I've never played it or Skyrim before I am excited to see what the hype is all about. The addition of cross-play and cross-progression is nice and I'm hoping becomes the standard going forward for all the games that can handle it!
Yes, it is live. It's hit or miss with me on my MacBook Air in terms of getting it to connect right away (see my thread made yesterday). Was playing last night on and off and it worked intermittently.

I updated my Mac OS to Catalina and I've been able to officially connect and play a few times tonight, however (and here is the big caveat): it will only register that the controller is linked on Chrome after every few attempts of shutting down controller completely/inputting code. I usually wait about 15-30 seconds before pressing any button on controller to give Chrome browser enough time to link, but if nothing happens after that time and the light is solid white still I will turn off controller and attempt it again. After a few tries it's been successful; a few tries for each successful gaming session.

There are a few posts about this on the Reddit page but I must admit I am becoming a bit frustrated by this issue after no reliable fix. My Stadia controller will accept the code given by Chrome on browser (MacBook Air 2017) and it will then turn steady white as if it's linked, however when I look at Stadia App it shows controller and says "ready to be linked". Whenever I press an input button on the controller nothing happens on the browser; I've tried restarting browser, refreshing, incognito mode, resetting Stadia controller completely, switching WiFi from 5.0 to 2.5 and vice-versa; always making sure the Stadia controller is on the same WiFi as my Stadia App. One of these seemed to have temporarily resolved the issue but I've been trying to connect over the last 20 minutes to no avail. Playing on my CCU there is no issue with linking; it's sometimes instantaneous. Any ideas? @GraceFromGoogle, is the team aware of this issue? I know the wireless service is still new and you guys are doing your best to iron out the kinks; just trying to determine if this is an issue maybe with Macs specifically or if this is a larger issue.

Keep up the awesome work; these steady updates and frequent communicative posts are just what we need! I was waiting for an AC sale and low-and-behold a day later my wish came true; thank you for granting that! Excited to play wirelessly on my laptop, as well! Now, just need some OG Pixel support! I know you guys can do it!!! Stay safe, ya'll!

Yes, I never even thought of that, though. I've been connecting it to the Stadia controller itself but it never crossed my mind of plugging it directly into laptop (2017 MacBook Air). I will experiment with that when I get the chance later. Assuming that resolves the fix for playing on laptop, do you have any idea on how to get audio to play through TV when my headset is connected to the Stadia controller? I'm using the standard one-ear piece that came with the PS4 for reference. I'm in need of a proper headset but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the options (I just want something affordable that has great quality/comfort and I don't care for the extra bells and whistles). Thanks for the reply!

I have searched and searched but can not find a way to get audio to come out of the TV speakers while I have a headset plugged in. The sounds will work on the headset, but nothing from TV. When I play on laptop with headset the sound doesn't come through headset and I hear my party member through the regular game audio (Borderlands 3). Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Is this normal, or is it resolvable? It's really annoying and takes the immersion right out of the game(s). @GraceFromGoogle, please help!

I noticed some time early this morning/afternoon that I can no longer get an "Excellent" connection status on my 4K TV with the CCU. It says "Good" but still lists 4K, HDR, 5.1, and "Best visual quality" despite the it not being so. Doom and Destiny were looking great last night but they don't look very sharp today. I am in Ontario, Canada, and I've seen posts on Reddit from people in other Countries faced with this issue as well. Is this a larger issue Google is aware (or unaware of) @GraceFromGoogle? Thanks for your time, I'm a big believer in Stadia!
