Nope, not using a sound bar here and my TV is in game mode which disables all special audio options. Lag is there. Lag cannot be fixed. It's fine though, I gave up on the platform ages ago.

Bumping this thread up to keep it alive. Amazed that there still hasn't been a response from Google yet lmao. I refuse to play anymore until it's fixed.
The issue is definitely with Stadia and the Chromecast Ultra. There is enough evidence to support this. It's possible you just haven't noticed the audio delay yourself with whatever games you are play...

It is indeed pretty shocking that this thread which has more views and pages of replies than almost every other thread still doesn't have a single response from a Google employee saying they are at least looking into it. I've completely stopped playing because of the audio delay and just went back to playing Destiny 2 on PS4 (as a hardcore 2000 plus hour player of that game I just refuse to play it with a sub par audio experience even of the framerate is worse on consoles than Stadia....shame...)
Chromecast Audio has issues perioid. Not just 5.1, but TV audio directly as well. I really hope they are aware. The fact that the agent specified to you 5.1 audio makes me worried.

Yep for sure everyone has the lag on Chromecast. It's definitely not a TV issue or an issue with the Chromecast that ships with Stadia. Happens in both of my TVs, and both of my Chromecast. One of them is an old Ultra and one is the one that shipped with stadia. 120mb connection. I've tried both wired and wireless on both TVs. Always get Good connection on WiFi and Excellent on ethernet. Game mode on both TVs. Doesn't matter what I do, the audio is always lagging in chromecast. @GraceFromGoogle any chance we can get confirmation that this is a known issue?
We now have 5 pages of replies on this thread and hundreds of views. Gotta keep this thread bumped and hopefully they will respond next week once the Thanksgiving weekend is over. We need answers

As per a previous suggestion on this topic, I indeed tried unplugging and replugging and it made no difference. In fact this audio delay issue occurs on BOTH my Chromecast Ultras on two different TVs (I have Stadia setup in my living room and bedroom). I'm starting to now doubt this works well for anyone on Chromecast Ultra. Perhaps some people just don't notice it as much. Only thing I can see is that the audio delay is worse on my 4K HDR tv than it is on my older 1080p tv. However both are still noticeably bad and to me, it's unplayable like this.
I can try resetting my Chromecast. But even if it works, sounds like it's a temporary fix. It's not even a proper fix. Google definitely needs to patch this through a firmware update. None of us shoul...

I wish I had the answer. It's good that it's working for you now. But quite frustrating that Google has not even acknowledged the issue. What is clear is that this issue obviously doesn't affect every Stadia user otherwise it would be so widespread and rampant that every news site and review would be mentioning it. Hard to say whether this is a hardware issue, firmware issue or a software issue. But it's not something that affects us all and unfortunately that may be the reason google has yet to confirm the issue. The only thing I know is its definitely not an issue with my TV or the chromecast on it's own. You Tube and Google Play Movies have perfect audio and video sync for me. It's only Stadia on the Chromecast that I have the audio issues.

This is 100% not fixed. I'm still getting a pretty massive audio delay and it's quite infuriating. Chromecast is plugged directly into the TV. No sound system just the TV speakers. Game mode enabled. Ethernet plugged directly in the Chromecast with consistent "Excellent" connection speed. Video is perfect with no perceptible input lag, but man the audio behaving this delay is actually making me go insane.
