It is not 4k60, it's upscaled and at 30. It falls somewhere between One X and PS4 Pro. Like another post linked, watch the Digital Foundry video. It's all very disappointing, especially considering the Xbox One X is a far less capable system than Stadia, yet somehow it's a stronger showing graphically on that system... Malákas I say!

I just want to remind Google that surround sound for us Pro subscribers who live in smaller living spaces and can only use soundbars and don't have eARC still have no surround sound... What's worse, before entering a game and loading the Sadia home screen, the "Stadia sound" (opening noise) plays in surround sound! Then, as soon as a game loads and HDR enables it's gone. (Insert Hercules "disappointed!" meme-gif)
How did you get it to work? Mine still is stereo!

DF actually put RDR2 at 1440p upscaled, 30fps. It more closely matches PS4 Pro. This is maddening when the TFLOPs have been "next-gen" since launch (slightly higher than PS5). The reasons for this have to be on Google's end in not pushing developers to make their code utilize the hardware, because the hardware is/was clearly there. The only game that I know of that did so was Rise of the Tomb Raider. But, now that PS5 and Xbox S: X/S are out, the advantages Stadia brings are non-existent. Play anywhere? You have XCloud or PS Remote Play. Highest TFLOPs? Never used and not anymore. Vast games library? No. Highly populated online community for multiplayer? No. It's really a sad story for Google, but ultimately for us. I bought Stadia very early, but Google should be held accountable for terrible messaging, because they really didn't market this service well, nor are they running it against the competition well either. When I am able to get a PS5 or Xbox S: X I will be cancelling my Stadia account. (Also because surround sound doesn't work through ARC!? Madness, again.)

Well, this is frustrating. I too am unable to get surround sound from Stadia. And, like all of you, I am able to get surround sound from everything (including the CCU!) else but Stadia! It's so frustrating that Stadia locks this behind eARC. This isn't an input that is the standard yet. Heck, my 2019 QLED doesn't have it! This is, in my opinion, unacceptable on Google's part, especially since they advertise this as a "play anywhere" system that does so optimally. @GraceFromGoogle.
As the title suggests, what's the ETA on being able to play on non-Pixel phones? I purchased the Claw from Google only to have it sit and wait on my shelf. I have a S10+ so it should work smoothly (x... See more...
As the title suggests, what's the ETA on being able to play on non-Pixel phones? I purchased the Claw from Google only to have it sit and wait on my shelf. I have a S10+ so it should work smoothly (xcloud does). What's happening Google? Anyone else feeling a little impatient on something that should work on more phones by now but is locked to Pixel still?

I think this is a great question, and one that is of potential importance to conscious consumers and more. I would estimate that Stadia uses less on average due to overall production, distribution, and consumption costs of a home console vs. Stadia, even considering server costs; but I need data to confirm or refute this. I would also, like you, appreciate Google release their energy and resource costs per Stadia unit. Keep this conversation going!

I am disappointed that Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) is on sale currently on both Steam and Epic. I am going to assume, and someone please help here, that both Sony and Microsoft have it on sale via their stores. Google, why is RDR2 full price on Stadia? Please be competitive with the others...
1. Currently playing Assassin's Creed for the first time. Picked up while on sale. 2. GTAV, Fallout 4 (full mod BV support) and Fallout 76.

Does anyone else have numbers after their name? I created a gamer tag and Google automatically assigned numbers to it. I get that they help differentiate names, but shouldn't the names be unique like on PSN or XBL? And if not, those numbers should only appear when searching or looking at a detailed view of the profile. This is mostly an aesthetic concern, but I find the numbers to be unpalatable. Anyone else feel the same?
