For me Stadia works fine over ethernet but with my "20 euro" wifi-router I experience (and expect to experience) jitters and drops in image quality. Still playable since there is no lag etc...  What resources are there available for analyzing my connection? I'd like to do this with perhaps a few routers I can borrow from my friends before going to the store and spending 100-300 euros on one.  So far I have used - standard speedtest - www.gcping.com - packetloss tools - wifi-analyzer (free) from the microsoft store.  I have no deep understanding on networks or connections but I use google search to analyze my results with some success   So, my question: what tools should I use and what results I would need to have to have a good experience with Stadia over wifi/PC??  I hope Google will put this sort of metrics into their Stadia app. It would make sense business wise sine this kind of information will be valuable once cloud gaming really gets popular...
I dropped the refresh rate from 1000 to 125 and it seems to help. Still not as good as with the generic mouse but better.

I bought the Logitech Huperion Fury G402 mid-price gamer mouse. Up until now I have been using a generic whatever-office-mouse and it has worked flawlessly. Now I get twitching and jumping with the "real" mouse and I started to wonder, can there be compatibility issues with mouses and Stadia? I know some people have reported mouse jumping etc. issues with Stadia but this only started for me after switching mouse.  I have reported this via the app.

@Mad_Dog_Bravo thank's for the tech info. I am very used to the way ISPs market their products so I won't be too dissapointed if the given figures will never work in reality. My current deal is for 50mbits up and down but in reality I get 20-40 (roughly 23ms ping). Stadia works great wired and ok wireless (my wireless is really crappy in general). The 5G network should reach my suburban home before summer but the wifi router costs 800-900 euros plus 30-40 euros monthly fee... I'll let you all know if it's worth the money.

I'm not really a controller player since I never actually had a console unless you count in the PS3 I got cheap a few years back. I only really use it for some simple 3rd person games for which it works fine for me. My initial reason to order Stadia was the ability to play via chrome&mouse&keyboard. I only use the Stadia controller (much to my surprise) when playing Tomb Rider. I do enjoy it but for games like Metro, Destiny and Breakpoint I would really appreciate if I could setup mouse and keyboard in my living room. ¨ I don't know if it's technically possible to connect any M&K with chromecast so perhaps Google should/could (?) design their own gaming platform for non-controller gamers.

So, my experience with Stadia is 95 % positive and impressive. The 5 % of problems are sometimes my own fault and sometimes I have determined that the problem is with my ISP. For instance, if I take my laptop too far from the wifi (behind two thick walls) or if I put too much extra pressure on my network, I will have problems with Stadia. A few times I have noticed a radical drop in network quality that may be due to my ISP. So, when to blame Google? We should have tools to analyze our connections more precisely so we would know when to buy a better router, when to call ISP and when to contact Googles customer service. Empowering the customers with this data would also be good for the cloud gaming market in general.

I hope there are plans to roll out some good games for the whole family. Right now I'm thinking about Kine or Grid to play with the kids. All the other titles I play (and love to play) are a bit too violent... Also, reading Reddit and this forum it seems that there are many moms and dads who enjoy the ability to play short &casual since with kids there really is no room for hours of gaming. I really enjoy that with Stadia.

I really don't think the store is going to be that much of a problem. In their own words, Google has developed this tech for 3-4 years so I think they have started negotiating with developers etc. a long time a go. The launch was a bit confusing but I think a lot of people missed the main point: the tech works and It works for most people with a decent network setup. I suppose there is a large potential customer base for Stadia (and competitors). Also, it would make sense for competitors to spin Stadia in a bad light. I mean, some commentators may even be running their own agenda... does that sound a bit like a conspiracy, maybe...

I'm just worried that there MAY be some Christmas sales available soon and therefore I would lose some money. Now, I can live with a few lost euros but It would be nice to know from Google if and when they are going to announce Christmas sales.

I mostly play on mouse and keyboard but last week I started playing Tomb Rider, for which I prefer the controller. A few times Stadia (on chromecast) has booted up with no sound at all. I first thought it was just the earphone connection but today the same problem arose with the tv too. To get the sound back I have rebooted the entire system and that usually works. There are no other problems with the sound once it is on.
Thanks. Well, that clears it then. I mentioned it here because I really suspected it to be Stadia version related (haven't played D2 before).

The Sinking City
Now the real follow up question would be if Google should bring mouse&keyboard support to chromecast.

So, I started playing D2 yesterday at home. No lag, easy gaming, liked it. This morning I tried the game at the office (100/100/40ms) and the experience was unplayable. I then tried out my mobile usb hotspot with (40/30/20ms) and the game ran very very well.  It seems there are some connection issues with Stadia :0 and it may not be simply about the download/upload speed. Luckily I have (so far have had) a good experience playing at home or with my mobile (a really cheap Nokia 2.2 btw).

I bought my premiere edition two weeks ago and got the shipping notification AND my code yesterday. So I was super exited to play some games only to realise that I had forgotten my mouse at work. Well... I had an extra Spartan Gear wired controller and was truly surprised that it worked with Stadia/Chrome. I knew this is possible but I didn't know this feature was yet working. First impressions? I'm a casual player at best and I can't find anything wrong with gameplay. Destiny runs smooth even on wifi (Down40mb/up12mb, 60ms to the nearest Google server)... I really enjoy the service.
