My controller is unplugged and it is not working or turning off. The white light is on but nothing is happening. Can anyone help?

@JackBasford2002 we're going to need some more information in order to better assist you.

Let's start with:

  1. Did the controller previously work and just stopped working, or are you having problems with the controller when trying to use it for the first time?
  2. What "screen" are you trying to use the controller on - computer, Chromecast, mobile phone, etc.?
  3. Have you already tried the tips here for recovering an unresponsive controller?

My controller did work. Whilst playing a game, there was a notification that said 'controller disconnected'. This is when i check the lead i am using to plug in the controller, and it is perfectly fine, but my controller is now not working. It now has a white light on in the middle permanently and isn't connecting whatsoever.

Were the troubleshooting steps I linked earlier able to help at all? I suspect a hardware reset may do the trick - if not, factory resetting the controller almost certainly will.
