Why does the controller still not work like a regular controller for things like Steam? How much longer do we have to wait?
Is this project still alive or is google abandoning Stadia?
I have the same problem because my wifi is public and cant connect my controller with usbC
Hi @ErikBlues , @yungFlop
just to be curious, the compatibility pages shows, that you can connect the Stadia controller using USB or Wifi. Does this not work for you. Sorry, I cannot try it at the moment.

just plug in the controller via USB on the computer and try to play any game on steam. Triggers don’t work as expected (try any racing game) and other issues.
Then, try to use the controller WiFi on Stadia, also disconnects often for no apparent reason.
In other words: currently my best stadia controller is my xbox controller...
For me it works on Steam. Only with Cable but it works.
Maybe you have to configured it on Steam before.
I'd like to see Bluetooth classic support added to use my Stadia controller wirelessly on the PC, or ideally other consoles. I really like the feeling of the Stadia controller, but the games library hasn't captured my interest, and I'm limited in where I can use Stadia (pretty much only at home with fibre internet). At this point my stadia controller is a paperweight, full Bluetooth support would at least mean I have decent controllers to use with my PC.
The stadia controller page has always included this footnote about Bluetooth. At first I assumed it just wasn't a launch priority, but now I'm losing hope Google will be evolving the controller.
Product contains Bluetooth Classic radio. No Bluetooth Classic functionality is enabled at this time. Bluetooth Classic functionality may be implemented at a later date.
