Weird controller input disconnection mid-game

I noticed while playing any game, if I'm holding a direction on the left stick for more than 4-5 seconds, the controller stops registering the movement until I adjust the stick into a different direction. For example, if I'm walking directly forward in Final Fantasy XV, I'll suddenly stop moving at all until I start pressing forward again. Same thing on Mortal Kombat 11, if I'm walking to the right or left for more than 4-5 seconds, I'll make an abrupt stop, as if the controller is auto-sleeping waiting for another input. Mostly wondering if anyone else has had this issue. The controller is connected to 5ghz gigabit wifi and the signal is fairly strong as I'm only one room away from the router.

The only thing I can think of is that this sounds like the bizarre behaviors my other wireless controllers start to show when the battery gets low.  Can you try these two things?

1) Charge the controller fully until the orange charging light turns off.

2) If you can, try using the controller wired via USB on a PC via the chrome browser and see if the issue persists while it is wired.

I have this same issue.  It comes back about every 90 seconds or so.  Very frustrating and basically makes first-person games unplayable.

I've got Google Fiber here, and the router is about 15 feet away with only air in between us so I don't think it's a signal strength issue. I'm also the only user of this router and all my other devices are off (except my cell phone), so I don't think it's interference either.

@Mewtime im having the same problem playing ElderScrollsOnline.

It's like hitting an invisible wall ingame.

If you move slightly left or right it reacts again.

Making the game nearly impossible to play.
