This is probably an oddly specific situation so I don't have high hopes but here we go..
I'm trying to play Stadia on my LG G8X using the built-in Android Desktop Mode which gives me access to my mouse, keyboard and monitor through a USB hub.
Would it be at all possible to somehow configure Stadia to use the keyboard as a controller? I don't see any settings other then the setup for a controller which does not detect the keyboard.
Any suggestions would be great, Thanks!
Hi there! Thanks for compiling this feedback for us. The best way to get your ideas in front of the Stadia team is to submit this as feedback within the Stadia app. To find this, open the Stadia app on your mobile device, then tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen. From there, navigate to the "Feedback" button below. Make sure to be as descriptive as possible.
@thaghost You need Chrome running on a proper desktop operating system (Chrome OS, Windows, MacOS, Linux) in order to leverage keyboard and mouse input methods. On your phone however, you're limited to using a gamepad/controller.
@SanjaySyam : Yes, but we want to use our phones - So there will be no need for a PC running (and consuming energy). ![]()
Would be nice, if this feature would be added to the app and shouldn't be a big thing.
Play on a big screen usind mouse and keyboard via your phone would be awesome!
Or just: A WiFi mouse and keyboard (like the controller) for any device... ![]()
I am having the same problem with an Android tv app. It is really weird to play Humankind with an Xbox controller instead of a mouse.
