I know a lot of Stadia users don't want Stadia to shut down.
But for now, I managed to get the old Stadia controller to work on my laptop using Windows 10.

I think people are mostly hoping for wireless functionality through Bluetooth to be enabled, but given Stadia is EOL, it's unlikely that Google will do this themselves. The best bet for this to happen is for the community to do this themselves, possibly if Google releases any useful specs/code regarding the controller and how it functions
Hopefully Google will have the decency to unlock these amazing controllers to be used as traditional Bluetooth controllers.
Agreed, I hope they unlock it to prevent it from becoming e-waste when it's limited to wired use only on PC.
I'm not mad they are cancelling Stadia (I didn't do Pro beyond the trial as I knew how likely it was Google (Alphabet) would back out of Stadia, still more upset about the end of Play Music), I only got mine as a deal where I bought CyberPunk, got the Stadia Premiere Edition w/ Chromecast ultra for free, and I just got refunded on Cyberpunk, so I got the Chromecast ultra for free and that is the part I've used most of all of these.
