Hello,
Last two m:onths, I have used the Xbox Series X controller with Stadia and CCU using the tandem mode but then last weekend I updated my controller with the application Xbox Accessories on my PC and now the controller is no longer working with the tandem mode (the Xbox button is the only one which works now).
I cannot rollback the firmware update on the controller as this option dosn't exist in the Xbox Acessories application. Such a shame as the xbox controller was perfectly recognize by the tandem mode.
Any idea or suggestion ?
Hi @Mike3009,
Try phone link, connect your xbox series x controller to your phone and connect your phone to your chromecast.
It is sort of like tandem mode with the ability to use the stadia controller (or xbox) as a secondary controller for another player

Thanks for the reply. The phone link is also a great feature but there are 2 issues in my case : bt connexion is less stable compared with the wired one in the tandem mode but more important, i use the jack connexion of the stadia controller for my headphones but it is not possible with the phone link, i have to connect my headphones directory on m'y TV.
Hi @Mike3009,
It looks like while there is a workaround, it doesn't seem to support all of the features you are looking for, keep us posted if you find a solution that fits your exact needs.
Best,
James
Hi everyone,
Just following up one more time to see if there are any additional questions or comments? Let us know when you can.
Thank you,
James
Unfortunatly, there is no change regarding my issue. The phone link without the audio functionnality doesn't respond to my needs (il will be a great add to be able to use the audio of the smartphone just like the jack connection of the Stadia controller).
But it is ok as the Stadia controller is still a good one (and I have bought another one with th 2nd anniversary offer). I keep my Xbox controller when there will be Xbox Series X stock.
Hi Mike,
We're glad you were able to take advantage of that 2nd Anniversary offer! Sorry to hear that you still weren't able to get your Xbox controller working like you wanted, but glad that you at least found a workaround (new Stadia controller). We'll go ahead and close this topic now, but please feel free to reach back out in a new post if anything else comes up.
Thank you,
James
