Just bought a new Android TV with built in Chromecast, TCL series 4
Are there plans to make the Stadia controller work as a gamepad for other games downloaded in the Google play store on the Android tv? It doesnt make sense that you need a separate gamepad for those games.
Also, why does a chromecast ultra need to be purchased if the android tv already has a chromecast built in?
Cheers,
PJ
At the moment, there is no way to use the Stadia controller to play games downloaded from Google Play on your Android TV. This is because the Stadia controller connects directly to your WiFi network and does not establish any kind of connection to your TV or Chromecast receiver. You would need a controller that supports Bluetooth in order to wirelessly connect to your TV and play Android games.
Refer the below page on how to pair a controller to your Android TV.

As for why a separate Chromecast Ultra needs to be purchased, it's possible the hardware inside the built-in Chromecast isn't powerful enough for streaming Stadia games and therefore lacks support.
Feature request:
Open the controller for using as Bluetooth controller, so that we can play Android Games from Playstore with it
Win/win: You sell more Controler and possible get more Stadia customer. The Community will thank you.
