As I mentioned the Stadia controller doesn't like my isp so I figured out that a usb-c hub might offer a workaround to my Stadia headaches and it does! Anker hub with various ports and ethernet connected to chromecast with google tv allows plug in of a wireless dongle (8bitdo and Gamesir work for me) and voilà! I can connect Switch pro, ps4 and Gamesir controllers. Rumble doesn't work on any of them, and that is bad on Google! but lag is noticeably better than bluetooth controllers. And so, forget the non-existent Stadia troubleshooting (which really boils down to "change your isp") or the £56 Stadia controller, get a usb hub, a wireless dongle and you're good to go.......go and restart that Stadia, it crashed again oh no
!
With my setup. My stadia controller had constant disconnects when using my ISP provided router. Because both 2.4 and 5ghz options were dynamic connections and when it would switch it would kill the connection to the stadia server. And my ISP router couldn't be modified to change setup because of how it operates with my wireless cable tv boxes. To fix my connection issues with my stadia controller I purchased an Asus router AC (brand doesn't matter) hard wired to my ISP modem. And connected stadia and controller to that network. Haven't had an issue in over two years since going this route.
Hi @Prozac1972,
As @ShaneAnderson has mentioned in their post the problem might just be your ISP's provided router causing issues on Wi-Fi for the stadia controller (as you are able to use a usb hub that has an Ethernet port or a power supply that has an Ethernet port [google sells one of these on their store]).
The switch pro and ps4 controller are both Bluetooth compatible controllers (not sure about the gamesir controller). With that in mind, are you using a wired connection to connect your controllers to your Chromecast with Google TV?

Yeah, ps4 controller works fine via Bluetooth on chromecast w/ gtv without rumble, on android phone via Bluetooth it even supports rumble! The gamesir via 2.4ghz dongle with usb hub seems to offer lower latency but not in a overly noticeable way, pros of a usb hub is that supports 1G ethernet while the Google, overly priced, ethernet adapter supports only 10/100.
